Notification on Day of Absence. When an Employee is sick or injured and unable to attend for work, or the Employee wishes to care for a member of his or her immediate family (see 16.5 – Xxxxx’s Leave), the Employee must personally inform the Employer by telephone before the normal commencement time of the absence. The Employee must also provide details of the estimated length of the absence from duty.
