Number on Leave. Normally it will not be possible to grant leave of absence to more than one Steam Plant employee at a time. However, if relief is available this limit may, at the discretion of the Company, be exceeded.
Number on Leave. Not more than 3% (rounded to the next highest whole number) of the Bargaining Unit Members of the DISTRICT may be on a sabbatical leave in any one year, except as recommended by the Superintendent and principal, on approval of the BOARD.
Number on Leave. The percentage of full-time faculty members on sabbatical leave at any one time may not exceed two percent (2%) of the total full-time faculty, rounded to the nearest whole number. Therefore, no more than two (2) persons from the full-time faculty may be on sabbatical leave at any one time. When the number of full-time faculty exceeds 125, three (3) persons may be on sabbatical leave. When the number of full- time faculty exceeds 175, a maximum of four (4) full-time faculty may be on sabbatical leave, and so forth.
Number on Leave. The total number of unit members granted 5 sabbatical leave during any one school year shall not exceed two percent 6 (2%) of the total number of certificated employees.
Number on Leave. The number of employees on sabbatical leave during any one (1) semester shall be limited to two (2) employees. In the event the number of eligible employees applying for sabbatical leave during any one (1) semester exceeds two (2) employees, the granting of leaves shall be governed by (not necessarily in the following order of sequence):
a. priority of application
b. reasonable distribution of applicants by schools
c. seniority
d. relative merits of the reasons for desiring leave
e. whether applicant has been granted previous leave
Number on Leave. The number of unit members on sabbatical leave in any one (1) year 5 shall not exceed two percent (2%) of the total number of unit members of the District.
Number on Leave. Normally it will not be possible to grant leave of absence to more than one Power & Recovery Department employee at a time. However, if relief is available this limit may, at the discretion of the Company, be exceeded.
Number on Leave. The maximum number of sabbatical leaves that can be granted for each school year shall not exceed eight semester units. In case the number of applications exceed eight (8) semester units, the following criteria shall be considered in making the selection:
1. Length of service; preference being given to those longest in service.
2. Distribution by schools, care being taken that the number from any school shall not be comparatively excessive.
3. Nature of service, provision being made that the benefits of such leave of absence shall be distributed, as fairly as possible, among all elementary and secondary school instructional positions.

While an employee is attending Vocational School on the basis set forth in A, and C above, the Company will pay him a living out allowance which, combined with any Govern- ment living out allowance to which he may be entitled, is equal to the living out allowance he would receive from the appropriate Government authorities as an Apprentice.
Number on Leave. The number of bargaining unit employees on sabbatical leave in any one (1) 22 semester shall not exceed two percent (2%) rounded to the nearest whole number of the total number of 24 applying for a sabbatical leave during any one (1) semester or full year exceeds two percent (2%) rounded 25 to the nearest whole number of total number of bargaining unit employees of the District, the granting of 26 leaves shall be governed by:
27 1) Merits of reason for the leave
28 2) Degree of success in performance of duties prior to leave
29 3) Reasonable distribution of applicants by schools and grade level
30 4) Granting of previous sabbatical leaves
31 5) Availability of suitable replacement
32 6) Length of service in the District since election to permanent status
