Common use of OCCUPATIONAL INJURY LEAVE Clause in Contracts

OCCUPATIONAL INJURY LEAVE. Injury leave as distinguished from sick leave means paid leave given to an employee because of the absence from duty caused by an accident or injury that occurred while the employee was engaged in the performance of his/her duties. The Town will supplement for a period not to exceed six (6) months the payments made under Workers’ Compensation Insurance so that the employee will receive his/her normal weekly pay for the period of time he/she is on injury leave.
