Official Time for Stewards and NCFLL Officials. X. Xxxxxxxxxx and Appeals 1. An NCFLL Xxxxxxx or Regional NCFLL Official may utilize a reasonable amount of official time to confer with an affected bargaining unit employee(s) with respect to any matters for which remedial relief may be sought pursuant to the terms and conditions of this Agreement or pursuant to a statutory appeals procedure or labor-management relations appeals procedure, provided that only one representative at a time may be entitled to official time in connection with a given representational matter. An NCFLL Xxxxxxx or Regional NCFLL Official may utilize a reasonable amount of official time to communicate with other Stewards or Officials in con- nection with a representational matter. 2. Subsection 1 above includes time to counsel a bargain- ing unit employee(s), to investigate a potential grievance, and to prepare and present a grievance at the Steps of the grievance procedure specified in Article 15, Grievance Procedure, of this Agreement. Also included is time to inves- tigate, prepare, and present a reply to a notice of proposed adverse action or performance based action; an adverse action, performance based action, or RIF appeal; an EEO discrimination complaint; a request for reconsideration or an appeal of an acceptable level of competence determination; and a classification appeal. In addition, Subsection 1 above includes time to investigate, prepare, and, if required, par- ticipate in an FLRA (ULP or Unit Clarification), FSIP, OWCP, or EEO proceeding, ADR procedure, or mediation. B. Meetings with Management An NCFLL Xxxxxxx or Regional NCFLL Official may utilize a reasonable amount of official time to prepare for and be pres- ent at meetings with Management, including Safety and Health Committee meetings, Labor-Management Relations Committee meetings, etc., concerning personnel policies, practices, and other matters affecting working conditions of employees in the bargaining unit. Such meetings may be initiated by either the Union or Management. An NCFLL Xxxxxxx or Regional NCFLL Official may utilize a reasonable amount of official time to com- municate with other Stewards or Officials in connection with such meetings. The Department and the NCFLL encourage informal meetings to resolve potential problems at the work site and preclude, if at all possible, the need for formal dispute procedures to be initiated. C.   • Official Time Duty time that is granted to representatives on behalf of the exclusive representative to perform representational functions without loss of pay or charge to an employee’s leave account. Official time will not be granted for internal union business, as defined by 5 USC 7131(b).

  • Union Officials 1. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the election, appointment, or removal of Union shop xxxxxxx(s). The District Lodge will notify the Company in writing of the Committee members at that location. 2. Effective upon the Date of Signing of this Agreement, the Company will assume the cost of a total of 150,000 hours of straight-time pay per year, to be used by shop stewards and other employees authorized by the Union for the purpose of administration of this Agreement and all other collective bargaining agreements between the Union and the Company. a. Shop stewards and other employees authorized by District Lodge 141 must give prior notice and report all time spent on Union business to the designated management representative. b. The Union will apportion the total annual allotment of 150,000 hours among the Company collective bargaining agreements it administers. In the event of an increase or reduction in the number of such agreements, the parties will meet to discuss and agree upon a proportionate adjustment in the hours allotment. 3. The parties will work with each other in good faith to ensure both that: (1) employees are reasonably represented in grievances and (2) the Company’s operation continues without undue delay. 4. The Union will provide the Company with the names, addresses, and phone numbers of its official Union Representatives. 5. The Company will provide the Union a reasonable amount of time as needed (not to exceed 2 hours) to participate in new-hire orientation for employees covered under this Agreement. 6. If requested by the Union and agreed to by the Company, Local Committeemen may be assigned to the Day Shift and to Saturday and Sunday as regular days off. In the event a significant dispute arises and remains unresolved it may be escalated to the level of AGC and HR at that station and, if not resolved, to the VP of Labor Relations and the President and Directing General Chairman.

  • School Official Designation Pursuant to Article I, Paragraph 1 of the DPA Standard Clauses, and in accordance with FERPA, ISSRA and SOPPA, in performing its obligations under the DPA, the Provider is acting as a school official with legitimate educational interest; is performing an institutional service or function for which the LEA would otherwise use its own employees; is under the direct control of the LEA with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data; and is using Student Data only for an authorized purpose and in furtherance of such legitimate educational interest.

  • KEY OFFICIALS A. The technical representatives for the Federal Agencies are as follows:

  • DIPLOMATIC AND CONSULAR OFFICIALS Nothing in this Agreement shall affect the fiscal privileges of diplomatic or consular officials under the general rules of international law or under the provisions of special agreements.

  • Official Languages (a) Appointments and transfers shall be subject to the Corporate Official Languages Policy, as it may be amended from time to time. (b) The parties agree to study the feasibility of developing a program to facilitate the exchange of employees who wish to improve their proficiency in the other official language.

  • School Official For the purposes of this DPA and pursuant to 34 CFR § 99.31(b), a School Official is a contractor that: (1) Performs an institutional service or function for which the agency or institution would otherwise use employees; (2) Is under the direct control of the agency or institution with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data including Education Records; and (3) Is subject to 34 CFR § 99.33

  • Recognition of Union Stewards and Grievance Committee In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the rights and duties of the Union Stewards. The Xxxxxxx shall assist any Employee, which the Xxxxxxx represents, in preparing and presenting her grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.

  • Publicity, Media and Official Enquiries 22.1 Without prejudice to the Authority’s obligations under the FOIA, neither Party shall make any press announcements or publicise the Contract or any part thereof in any way, except with the written consent of the other Party. 22.2 Both Parties shall take reasonable steps to ensure that their Personnel comply with clause 22.1.

  • Official Language The official language of this Agreement is the English language only, which language shall be controlling in all respects, and all versions of this Agreement in any other language shall not be binding on the parties hereto or nor shall such other versions be admissible in any legal proceeding, including arbitration, brought under this Agreement. All communications and notices to be made or given pursuant to this Agreement shall be in the English language.
