On-Call Scheduling. The Medical Center shall have the right to expand the use of mandatory scheduled call beyond the current departments in which scheduled call is a current practice only after having notified and bargained with the Association over such proposed changes, either to agreement or to impasse.
On-Call Scheduling. Written on-call guidelines shall be maintained by the Agency for each program and forwarded to the Association. The Agency shall only have the right to implement changes in such guidelines after having notified and bargained with the Association over such proposed changes (either to agreement or to impasse) during the term of this Agreement. These guidelines shall be in compliance with the provisions of Article 9.
On-Call Scheduling. (a) The Hospital will determine areas where on-call scheduling is deemed essential.
(b) When on-call scheduling is to be introduced into any unit or department, at least sixty (60) days' notice will be provided to nurses on the unit and, the Association will be notified as per Article 18.06 of the central agreement.
(c) Scheduled standby assignments within a unit will be distributed equitable amongst the full-time and part-time nurses who have the skill, ability, qualifications and experience to cover such standby assignment.
(d) Standby assignments shall be posted at the same time as the work schedule as per H.
On-Call Scheduling. (a) i) The Hospital will notify the Bargaining Unit President or designate prior to initiating ongoing standby assignments on any unit.
On-Call Scheduling. MainePERS Information Technology personnel may be scheduled for on-call assignments as necessary to meet business requirements. These periods of time will be scheduled in advance and require personnel to be available, in person and/or remotely depending on the particular incident, to assist in business situations requiring attention during non-business hours. When scheduled for on-call assignments for the week day, weekend, or holiday non- business hours, personnel are expected to remain within their normal commuting distance and remain prepared to conduct business as usual, as if reporting for duty during normal business hours. Information Technology employees shall receive two (2) hours of straight time pay for each week day, weekend day or holiday when on stand-by status.

8.12.1 The Medical Center shall only have the right to implement changes in such guidelines after having notified and bargained with the Association over such proposed changes (either to agreement or to impasse) during the term of this Agreement.
8.12.2 Notwithstanding the foregoing, in any nursing unit where on-call scheduling is voluntary, such scheduling shall remain voluntary for the duration of this Agreement.
8.12.3 Mandatory on-call shifts shall be scheduled by the Medical Center in no less than eight-hour increments, except as follows: An option for four-hour on-call shifts may be made available by the Medical Center to nurses who consent to meet their mandatory on-call requirement in less than eight-hour increments. These four-hour on-call shifts shall be limited to 0700 to 2300. Moreover, two-hour call shifts may be made available to nurses on a voluntary basis and shall be paid at the mandatory call rate set forth in Section 9.7.1. Weekend on-call shifts shall not be scheduled without the nurse’s consent (1) on a nurse’s regularly scheduled weekend off, resulting in the nurse being subject to working consecutive weekends, or (2) on consecutive weekends.
