O.S.S.T. F. recognizes the right of the Board to authorize any advisory agent, counsel, solicitor or duly authorized representative to assist, advise or represent them in all matters pertaining to the negotiation and administration of this Collective Agreement.
O.S.S.T. F. further recognizes the right and duty of the Board to discipline, demote, suspend and discharge employees provided that a claim by a permanent seniority employee that he/she has been disciplined, demoted, suspended or discharged without just cause may be the subject of a grievance and dealt with as provided in Article 10.
O.S.S.T. F. and the Bargaining Unit, as the case may be, shall indemnify and hold the Board harmless from any claims, suits, attachments and any form of liability as a result of such deductions made under 2.7.0.0.0. 2.8.1.0.0. Effective September 1, 2000, twelve month co-ordinators shall be entitled to a total of 30 working days of vacation during their twelve month working year. Vacation days shall be scheduled in consultation with the appropriate Superintendent, or designate.
O.S.S.T. F. dues deducted in accordance with 16.01 above shall be remitted to the attention of the Treasurer of O.S.
O.S.S.T. F. agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Board from any and all of the consequences of making and paying deductions to O.S.S.T.F. in accordance with this article.
O.S.S.T. F. recognizes that the Board has the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrolment, lack of space, insufficient funding or the inability to recruit instructors. In the event that a program is cancelled, the Board agrees to consult with O.S.S.T.F. prior to cancellation. The Board further agrees to consult with O.S.S.T.F. in the event that a class is cancelled due to lack of space.
O.S.S.T. F. and/or the Bargaining Unit, as the case may be, shall indemnify and hold the Employer harmless from any claims, suits, attachments and any form of liability as a result of such deductions authorized by O.S.S.T.F. and/or the Bargaining Unit.
O.S.S.T. F. dues deducted in accordance with 16.01 above shall be remitted to the attention of the Treasurer of O.S.S.T.F. at its Head Office, on the 15th day of each month following the month in which the deductions were made. The remittance shall be accompanied by a list identifying the teachers from whom deductions were made, their Social Insurance Numbers, their individual salaries for the period, and the amount deducted.

3.04 a) “Full-time employee” as referred to in Article 11 means an employee who is normally and regularly scheduled to work 35 hours per week (or two half-time positions of 17.5 hours) worked in five (5) days of seven (7) hours each Monday to Friday.
