The calculation of overtime pay is according to the employment contract or to a written confirmation of employment. 1.7.2 All extra work on public holidays (stórhátíðardagar) pursuant to Article 2.3.1 is paid at an hourly rate which is 1.375% of monthly pay for day work. This does not apply to regular work of shift workers, where holidays in the winter months are granted in accordance with Article 3.4 for work on the days in question.
