Overtime Premium. Where call back is immediately prior to the commencement of their regular shift the call back pay will only apply to the point of commencement of a regular shift at the rate of time and one-half (1 after which they shall revert back to the regular shift. Call back pay shall cover all calls within the minimum four (4) hour period provided for under (a). If a second call takes place after four (4) hours have elapsed from the time of the first call, it shall be subject to a second call back premium but in no case shall an employee collect two call back premiums within one such four hour period, and to the extent that a call back overlaps and extends into the hours of his or her regular shift, (a) shall apply. Notwithstanding the foregoing an employee who has worked his full shift on a holiday and is called back shall receive the greater of two and one-half (2 1/21 times his regular straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked.

When an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours duration, the Hospital will allocate a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration. An employee required to work additional overtime contiguous to an overtime shift within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the employee will be compensated at the rate of double time his or her straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked.
(b) Overtime shifts will be offered on a rotating seniority basis (over a more than two (2) week pay period)hours overtime: Shall be supplied a meal by the Hospital. A further meal will be supplied for each four (4) hours continuous of overtime thereafter. When the ambulance employees are in transit during a meal period they will be provided with up to a maximum of seven dollars ($7.00) per meal provided that the employee submits a receipt for the meal. Overtime will be offered in order of seniority on an equitable basis to employees within the classification that normally perform the work, in the in which the work is to be performed. In the Ambulance Department overtime will be offered in order of seniority on an equitable basis first to full-time and then employees, failing this, to regular part-time employees, and failing this to relief part- time employees. Employees who have worked or will work within eight (8) hours of the home department. The refusal commencement or end of an the overtime shift within or are not available due to an approved absence from work will not be offered such overtime opportunity, however this will not count as an offered overtime opportunity for the home department purpose of equitable distribution. An available work opportunity offered and declined will be counted for the purpose of determining equitable distribution. An employee may accumulate up to five (5) shifts which may be a combination of regular and extended shifts in straight time hours. Such banked hours must be taken no later than March of each year. If such time cannot be taken for any reason, it shall constitute time workedbe paid.

Overtime Premium. At the change of tour there normally be time required for reporting. Should the reporting time extend beyond twenty minutes, the entire period shall be considered overtime but must be approved by the supervisor. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within sixty (60) calendar days, except in those departments or units which are subject to summer and/or Christmas closures. When no buses are available after hours, the overtime premium is paid. Where an employee is required Hospital will pay taxi fare from the Hospital to the employee’s residence for those employees who have been asked to work additional overtime contiguous to an past their regular shift. Meal Ticket An employee shall be provided with a free meal ticket when working for two hours or more of overtime shift within on the same day the employee has worked a twenty-full tour. Overtime Premium.
