Pay for Regularly Scheduled Work on a Holiday. An Employee who is not scheduled to work on the above holidays shall receive holiday pay equal to one (1) day's pay. An Employee who is scheduled to work shall be paid at the regular rate and shall receive another day off with pay at a time designated by the Employee.

Pay for Regularly Scheduled Work on a Holiday. (a) An employee who is not scheduled to work on the holidays outlined in 20.01 shall receive holiday pay equal to one day’s pay. An employee who is scheduled to work shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 2) plus another day off with pay, in lieu of holiday pay, at a time mutually agreed to by the Employer and the employee. (b) In the event schools are open on a scheduled holiday, these holidays will be worked at regular straight time rates and a day off will be rescheduled to a period when schools are closed. Should an employee be laid off or quit before the holiday is rescheduled, he/she shall be paid for the regular straight time hours worked.
Pay for Regularly Scheduled Work on a Holiday. An employee required to work on any such holiday shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1½) for each hour so worked, and the employee is to receive another day off at a mutually agreeable time. An employee shall be allowed to accumulate a maximum of three (3) lieu days and all lieu days must be taken prior to December 15th in the calendar year in which they were earned. A calendar year for lieu days shall be from December 16th to December 15th. Accumulated lieu days shall not be granted between December 15th and January 15th. All requests for lieu days must be submitted to Department Heads at least two (2) weeks in advance of the day or days requested. In order to qualify for any of the above holidays, an employee must have worked on his last scheduled day immediately preceding and worked the scheduled work day immediately following the holiday, unless the absence is due to an authorized leave of absence. Authorized leave of absence is defined as those leaves listed in Article 24.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

(b) Where time off with pay in lieu of the holiday has not been granted in accordance with Article 18.05(a)(ii), compensation shall be granted at the Employee’s regular rate of pay for those hours worked on the holiday.

  • Work on a Holiday Employees required to work on days recognized as holidays which fall within their regular work schedules shall be entitled, in addition to their regular monthly salary, to compensatory time off, or to be paid in cash as provided in Articles 32.1-32.5 (Overtime). Compensatory time off or cash paid for all time worked shall be at the rate of time and one-half (1 ½). The rate at which an employee shall be paid for working on a holiday shall not exceed the rate of time and one-half (1 ½) his/her straight time rate of pay.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours. (b) For Shiftworkers, double time and a half (inclusive of their shift loading) must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.
