Permit to Work System. NO work shall be carried out without a "PERMIT TO WORK"  The Contractor’s Responsible Person must satisfy himself that all sources of possible danger are isolated. The Contractor must also make provision for sufficient Authorise Supervisor(s) depending on the contractual obligations. The Authorised Supervisor will need to undergo a week’s training, which will be arranged at a suitable Eskom facility. This person must also pass an exam to verify his understanding of the procedure, after which he/she will need to be interviewed by a panel to discuss the practical understanding of being appointed as an Authorised Supervisor.  A Master Permit to Work is used on declared major outages, details can be found in local procedure LBA 00085. Permit changes are made during the dead time, if it is required by the Contractor that a certain supply be made available or plant tested than this can be applied for at the Outage Management Meeting at least 1 day in advance.  Plant with a prohibitive sign attached may only be operated by appointed Eskom personnel. Related to Permit to Work System

  • Access to Work District representatives shall at all times have access to the Work, wherever it is, in preparation or in progress. Contractor shall provide safe and proper facilities for such access.

  • Access to Work Locations Reasonable access to employee work locations shall be granted officers of the Association and their officially designated representatives for the purpose of processing grievances or contacting members of the Association concerning business within the scope of representation. Such officers or representatives shall not enter any work location without the consent of the City Manager. Access shall be restricted so as not to interfere with the normal operations of the department or with established safety or security requirements. Solicitation of membership and activities concerned with the internal management of the Association, such as collecting dues, holding membership meetings, campaigning for office, conducting elections and distributing literature, shall not be conducted during working hours.

  • Construction Phase Services 3.1.1 – Basic Construction Services

The responsibility of the Developer for costs related to System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of Attachment S to the NYISO OATT.

  • Completion of Work The Contractor agrees to complete the work on, or before October 29, 2021.

  • PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES The Pre-Construction Phase shall be deemed to commence upon the date specified in a written Notice to Proceed with Pre-Construction Phase Services issued by Owner and shall continue through completion of the Construction Documents and procurement of all major Subcontractor agreements. Contractor is not entitled to reimbursement for any costs incurred for Pre-Construction Phase Services performed before issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. Pre-Construction Phase Services may overlap Construction Phase Services. Contractor shall perform the following Pre-Construction Phase Services:

  • Time Devoted to Work In performing the services contemplated under this Agreement, the services and the hours Consultant is to work on any given day will be on a mutually agreed upon basis, except for attendance at scheduled meetings, and City will rely upon Consultant to put in such number of hours as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the spirit and purpose of this Agreement. City understands that Consultant is engaged in the same or similar activities for others and that City may not be Consultant’s sole client or customer. However, Consultant represents and warrants that it is under no obligation or restriction, nor will it assume any such obligation or restriction, that would in any way interfere or be inconsistent with the services to be performed under this Agreement.

  • Requirement to Work Reasonable Overtime The Employer may require any Employee to work reasonable overtime at overtime rates and such Employee shall work overtime in accordance with such requirement.

  • WORK ACCESS The Association shall provide a current, written list of its Association Representatives to all heads of departments, offices, or bureaus represented herein and the CAO. The Association shall be responsible for keeping the list current. An Association Representative shall have access to department, office, or bureau facilities where Unit members are employed during regular working hours to assist employees covered under this MOU in addressing grievances when such Association assistance is requested by a grievant(s) or to investigate matters arising out of the application of the provisions of this MOU. The Association Representative shall request authorization for such visits by contacting the designated Management representative of the head of the office, department, or bureau. In the event immediate access cannot be authorized, the designated Management representative shall inform the Association Representative as to the earliest time when access can be granted. This Article shall not be construed as a limitation on the power of the head of a department, office, or bureau to restrict access to areas designated for security or confidential purposes.
