PLANT HOLIDAYS. 21.01 The following days shall be observed as designated holidays: New Year's Day 21.02 In order to qualify for holiday pay, the employee must: (a) have performed work for the Company in twelve (12) of the last thirty (30) days prior to the holiday, (b) have worked his full scheduled hours of work on his work day immediately preceding and immediately following the holiday, and (c) have completed three (3) months of continuous active employment with the Company. Where their birthday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the employee will receive the next working day off with regular pay. This Float Day will be applied (and paid out) at timing of the company’s choice (typically over the Christmas vacation period) 21.06 If an employee who is otherwise disqualified under this Article from receiving holiday pay or premium pay has a right to receive public holiday pay or premium pay under the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended, the employee shall receive such public holiday pay and/or premium pay as are required by that Act. 21.07 If a holiday listed in Article 21.01 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday or Tuesday, as determined by the Employer, shall be substituted.

PLANT HOLIDAYS. 21.01 10.01 The Company agrees to observe the following days holidays and to compensate its employees accordingly at their regular hourly rate of pay effective at the time the holiday occurs if they are not required to work on such days, and if they are required to work and do so work, such employees, shall be observed as designated holidays: New Year's Day

21.04 An employee who works on any of the holidays listed in Article 21.01 hereof shall be paid for each such hour worked on such holiday at the rate of two (2) times his regular rate of pay, and in addition shall receive the holiday pay provided herein, if he meets the eligibility requirements contained in Article 21.02.
(a) Employees The Company agrees to credit probationary employees with one (1) year or more of continuous service shall receive day worked when plant holidays occur during their probationary period one (1) day only. Employees who fail to work either of these days because of duly verified illness of, or accident to the employee, or by death in the immediate family, or jury duty, or temporary lay-off with regular not exceeding two (2) weeks or while on approved leave of absence not exceeding one (1) month, shall not forfeit their holiday pay.
10.03 Any employee whose illness is of such duration as to entitle him/her to benefit under the Weekly Indemnity Sick Pay Plan shall not qualify for full holiday pay on their birthdayunder this Article where such holiday falls within such illness. Where their birthday However, the Company agrees to pay the difference between the Indemnity Plan pay he/she received and the amount of his/her normal holiday pay, for the period of twenty-six (26) consecutive weeks, from the first (1st) day of the initial illness.
10.04 In the event a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the employee will receive the next working Company agrees to grant another day or days off with regular pay.

21.02 In order to qualify for holiday pay, the employee must:

PLANT HOLIDAYS. 21.01 17.01 The following days shall plant holidays, regardless of when they fall, will be observed as designated holidaysgranted with pay to all employees who have completed their probationary period: New Year's Day’s Day Civic Holiday Good Friday Labour Day Victoria Day Thanksgiving Day Canada Day Day Before Christmas Christmas Day Boxing Day Floating Days (2) Floating Days will be designated by the Company during Christmas Holidays with notice provided to employees as far in advance as possible. Payment for such holidays shall be based on the employee’s regular hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours he would normally have worked on such day. When any of the said holidays falls on other than a regular working day, the Company will designate another day upon which the holiday will be celebrated within one (1) week from that day.
21.02 17.02 In order to qualify be entitled to payment for a plant holiday pay, the an employee must:
(a) have performed work for the Company in twelve (12) of the last thirty (30) days prior to the holiday,

21.03 Holiday pay shall be computed 17.03 If an employee works on the basis one of the number of hours the employee would otherwise have worked had there been no holiday, above named holidays he shall receive payment at the employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay.
21.04 An employee who works on any of the holidays listed in Article 21.01 hereof shall be paid for each such hour worked on such holiday at the rate of two (2) times the hours actually worked by him in addition to receiving his regular rate of holiday pay, and in addition or at the employee’s option, he shall receive an additional day with pay to be taken at a time that is mutually agreeable to the employee and the supervisor, provided it is taken no later than the end of the contract year and provided it does not interfere with production.
17.04 If the holiday occurs during an employee’s vacation, he shall receive an additional day with pay or have one day added to his vacation at the employee’s option, provided herein, if he meets it is taken no later than the eligibility requirements contained in Article 21.02end of the contract year and provided it does not interfere with production.
(a) Employees with 17.05 Each employee will be entitled to one (1) year or more of continuous service shall receive one floating holiday (1not a plant-wide shutdown) day off with regular pay on their birthday. 21.04 , An employee who shall not be disqualified from receiving holiday pay provided he works the shift before and the shift following the holiday. Eligible employees will be paid for three additional holidays These holidays may be taken anytime during the year but not normally during busy periods or consecutive with the employee's annual vacation. The employee will give one week's notice of the holiday he wishes to take and the day selected will be to the mutual convenience of the Company and the employee. Note: In the event that Heritage Day is proclaimed as another holiday, one of these days will become Heritage Day and observed in accordance with government legislation. When a plant falls on a weekend, the holiday will be observed on the Friday preceding or the Monday following. An employee required to work on any of the above designated plant holidays listed will receive time and one-half his regular straight time rate performed, in Article 21.01 hereof shall addition to any plant holiday pay to which he may be entitled under paragraph If an eligible employee who is required to work on a plant holiday fails to do so, he will not be paid for each the holiday unless his absence is due to illness attested to by a doctor's certificate, if the Company considers such hour worked on such evidence to be necessary, or other reason acceptable to the Company. 21.04 An employee who works on any of the holidays listed in Article 21.01 hereof shall be paid for each such hour worked on such holiday at the rate of two (2) times his regular rate of pay, and in addition shall receive the holiday pay provided herein, if he meets the eligibility requirements contained in Article 21.02.;
(a5) Employees A leave of absence, with one permission from the Company which commenced not more than five (15) year or more of continuous service shall receive one (1) day off with regular pay on their birthday. 21.06 If an employee who is otherwise disqualified under this Article from receiving holiday pay or premium pay has a right to receive public holiday pay or premium pay under the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
(7) Lateness, 2000, as amended, not exceeding forty-five (45) minutes on either the last scheduled working day preceding or the first scheduled working day following such a holiday. This may be extended by the Company (not to exceed a lateness of three (3) hours) if the employee shall receive notifies the Company that he will be late prior to the commencement of his scheduled shift and if it is established that such public holiday pay and/or premium pay as are required by that Act.lateness is unavoidable;
21.07 (b) If a holiday listed falls in Article 21.01 falls an employee’s vacation period, then the employee will be granted an extra day’s holiday with pay or an extra day’s pay in lieu thereof.
(c) If an employee works on one of the above named paid plant holidays, he will receive payment at double time for the hours actually worked by him at the rates of pay applicable for the work performed by him in addition to receiving his holiday pay.
(d) When any of the said holidays fall on a Saturday or a Sunday, the following Monday or Tuesday, as determined by the Employer, they shall be substituteddeferred to the immediately succeeding work day/days, and the day/days so designated shall, for the purpose of this Agreement, be deemed to be the plant holiday/holidays.
