Plant Materials. The Employer may at his own discretion, supply any Plant and Materials as may be required by the The Contractor is to notify the Employer in writing, 48 hrs in advance, of such Plant and Materials required.
Plant Materials. Contractor to provide all plant material. Plant materials will include a combination of container plants, vegetative cuttings (propagules) and seed mixes. Seeding will be performed by a method specified in site specific HMMP but will be either by broadcast or Hydroseed method. Plant species, so indicated by site specific HMMP and any pertinent permits will be installed via instruction of site specific HMMP. Vegetation species seed, container plants and cutting origin will be specified by respective site HMMP and permits. Seed mixes will be clearly labeled showing type of seed, test date, supplier name, seed source, and percentage of the following: pure seed, crop seed, inert matter, weed seed, noxious weeds, and total germination content. All seed mixes are expected to be clean, without undesirable non-native and noxious weed seed. Receipts of nursery stock will be made available to County and District Inspector/Project Manager.
Plant Materials. 2.1.1 Plant material shall conform to American Standard for Nursery Stock, ANSI Z60.1.
2.1.2 Plants shall be true to species and variety specified and nursery grown in accordance with good horticultural practices under climatic conditions similar to those in the locality of the project for at least two years. They shall have been freshly dug, oversized balled, and be of the form necessary to meet design standards. They shall be sound, healthy, vigorous, well-branched and densely foliated when in leaf and free of disease and insects (eggs or larvae). They shall have healthy, well-developed root systems and shall be free from physical damage or other conditions that would prevent thriving growth.
2.1.3 Plants shall not be heavily pruned before delivery. Trees with multiple leaders, unless specified, will be rejected. Trees with damaged or crooked leader, abrasion of bark, sunscald, disfiguring knots, insect damage, or cuts of limbs over 3/4" (2 cm) in diameter that are not completely callused should be rejected.
2.1.4 Plants shall conform to the measurements specified, except for plants larger than those specified. If larger plants are used, the root ball shall be increased in proportion to the size of the plant. Caliper measurements shall be taken on the trunk 6" (15 cm) above the natural ground line. Height and spread dimensions specified refer to the main body of the plant and not
2.1.5 All plants shall be labeled by plant name and size. Labels shall be attached securely to all plants, bundles and containers of plant materials when delivered. Plant labels shall be durable and legible, with information given in weather-resistant ink or embossed process lettering.
Plant Materials. 1. Plant Materials shall meet City of Papillion’s size standards.
Plant Materials. The Employer may at his own discretion supply any Plant and or Materials as required by the Supplier to Provide the Services. Any electrical equipment or appliances supplied to Site must comply with all relevant safety regulations and requirements and be maintained in safe and proper working condition. The Employer has the right to stop the Supplier's use of any electrical equipment or appliance, which in the Employer's opinion does not conform to the foregoing.
Plant Materials. 1. All container grown young plants shall be healthy, vigorous, well-rooted, and established in the container in which they are growing. They shall have tops of good quality and be in a healthy growing condition. A container grown young plant shall have a well-established root system reaching the sides of the container to maintain a firm ball.
2. All annuals and perennials shall be nursery-grown in 4-inch pots, well rooted, full, healthy plants just ready to bloom.
Plant Materials. It is not the purpose of these guidelines to limit the choice of plant materials to a specific list. The choice should remain open, responding to the design and functional criteria of each development area within the project site, as the needs of the area are determined. Rather, the choice should be compatible with the general criteria outlined in this section. In summary, those criteria are:
1) Plant materials should function visually to identify areas and facilities but also be a harmonious part of the larger visual environment, blending into landscaping in adjacent development areas and adjoining permanent spaces;
2) Plant materials should complement nearby architecture and street furniture;
3) Landscaping should be sufficiently varied to create visual interest but should result in overall simplicity and continuity;
4) Plant choices should respond to such functional considerations as low water maintenance, slope stabilization, erosion and local climate; and
5) Landscape materials should also help achieve other planning and design goals.
Plant Materials. A. Plant List - A plant list is provided by Owner’s Representative. If drawings are provided, quantities shown on the list are for information only. Contractor shall be responsible for verifying quantity takeoffs as shown on the drawings. In the event of a discrepancy between quantities shown on the plant list and quantities depicted on the plans, the quantities depicted on the plans shall govern.
B. Plant Material Quality - Plants shall meet the American Association of Nurserymen (AAN) standards for established plants and, the Landscape Contractors of Colorado standard specifications. The most recent editions shall govern. Plants shall be well branched and well established in their containers or balls. Plants that shown signs of being pot-bound with substantial roots circling the perimeter of the container may be rejected. Trees shall be Colorado grown, or have been grown at a source with a latitude equal to or north of Colorado and with a similar climate, or have been acclimated in Colorado for at least 3 growing seasons. Shrubs and perennials shall be Colorado grown or have been acclimated to the Colorado climate by being planted early enough in the growing season to adapt to Colorado conditions and develop adequate rooting to survive winter. Meeting these standards shall not relieve the contractor of required conditions of the warranty/guaranty.
C. Diseases and injuries - Plants with disease or insects are not permitted. Plants with substantial scarring of the trunk may be rejected. Plants with wounds or broken branches may be rejected
D. Plant Review - All plant material is subject to review by the Owner's Representative prior to delivery to the site. Review at the nursery does not constitute final acceptance. All plant material is subject to review at the site prior to planting, review at final acceptance, review at any time during the warranty period, and review at the time of the warranty completion. Dead, poor, or unhealthy specimens shall be replaced within 10 days of notification by the Owner's Representative. The Owner's representative or his assigned representative shall be the sole person responsible for deciding whether a plant is to be replaced.
E. Plants are to be delivered to the site with tags bearing the botanic name.
F. Digging, wrapping and handling - Plants shall be dug and prepared for shipment in a manner that will not cause damage to branches, shape, and future development after planting.
G. Balled and burlapped plants shall be nu...
Plant Materials. 1. Plant materials shall meet the minimum City of Papillion's size standards.
2. Landscaping shall comply with the Site Plan/Landscape Concept Plan (Exhibit “B-1”).
3. The height of vegetation in the northeast corner of Xxx 0 xxx xxxxx xxx xx Xxx 0 xxxxx xx no greater than 10 feet as illustrated in Exhibit “B-1”.
Plant Materials. In developing the final design for the Memorial, the NPS, NCPC, and EMC shall consider incorporating tree and shrub species from the original LBJ Building Plaza palette. The Memorial landscape design, dated December 2011, incorporates specific tree species from the original palette and the NPS and the EMC shall continue to include or enhance such plantings in the final design for review by the CFA and the NCPC.
