Procedures for Retaining Teachers – Intensive Assistance Program. For areas of responsibility in which the evaluator has rated the evaluatee as Does Not Meet the Standard or consistently believed to be deficient during formal observations, an Intensive Assistant Program may be implemented between the evaluator and evaluatee. The Intensive Assistance plan will include the following components: 1. Written goal(s) for each item marked Does Not Meet the Standards or each area of deficiency are to be developed by the evaluator. This goal(s) should include the criteria whereby the achievement of the goal(s) can be measured. The goal(s) should be written in such a fashion that should the evaluatee achieve the goal(s), the evaluator would rate the evaluatee’s performance in the area of responsibility as Partially/Approaching the Standard or Meets the Standard. 2. The evaluator will include a description of specific means by which he or she or another administrator will monitor the evaluatee’s work on the goal(s). This monitoring will include a means by which the evaluatee will receive periodic information from the evaluator about his or her progress towards the goal(s). This record of progress, as developed by the evaluator, will be in written form and shared with the evaluatee. 3. All Intensive Assistance plans developed by the evaluator and evaluatee will have a time frame stated in the goal document. 4. The Superintendent may appoint Intensive Assistance team members consisting of administrators with consideration given to persons recommended by the evaluator and evaluatee. Any peer assistance given by a staff member of this or any other district or institution will remain confidential between the teacher and the person giving the assistance. 5. At the discretion of the teacher he/she may be represented by a person of his/her choice in all discussions of the evaluation if the teacher believes such representation would be beneficial. 6. The evaluator and the teacher will agree on a specific time for the remediation to occur which shall be no less than 60 days nor more than one year. During this time the evaluator and the teacher will work to develop a solution to the deficiency. At the end of the agreed remediation period, the evaluator will notify the teacher within 48 hours of evaluation on the identified deficiency. If the teacher’s performance fails to meet district expectations, the following steps will be taken before dismissal. a.   • Dependent Care Assistance Program The County offers the option of enrolling in a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The program allows employees to set aside up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) of annual salary (before taxes) per calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care (child and elder care) expenses. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Consulting Teachers (CT) will be assigned to all new teachers with no prior teaching experience and tenured teachers rated ineffective on the qualitative measures at the end of the previous school year and recommended by the PAR Panel. Evaluations for Probationary and Ineffective Teachers:

  • Employee Assistance Program Neither the fact of an employee's participation in an employee assistance program, nor information generated by participation in the program, shall be used as a reason for discipline under this Article, except for information relating to an employee's failure to participate in an employee assistance program consistent with the terms to which the employee and the University have agreed.

Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
