Promotion and Recruitment. Promotions shall be made in accordance with applicable regulations. For each classification, required selection criteria shall be established by the Employer concerning education, experience, age, physical requirements, character, and other factors that are related to ability to perform satisfactorily the duties of positions in the class. Each required selection criterion shall relate directly to the duties of positions in the class. Optional selection criteria may be established by the director for one or more classes, which may be designated by the appointing authority as preferred or required for particular positions in the classes. Any agency may establish additional preferred selection criteria in order to determine the capacity and fitness of each eligible candidate in the pool to perform the position’s specific duties. Optional and preferred selection criteria must be appropriate to the job classification and position and shall not be crafted to give advantage to any pre-determined preferred candidate. Each applicant certified to the pool of eligible candidates shall meet the required selection criteria for that class and position at the time of hire. If the required selection criteria for a class or position includes a degree requirement, any applicant who is expected to complete the degree requirement by the end of the current academic term may be certified to the pool of eligible candidates for that class or position and extended a conditional offer of employment. The applicant shall meet the degree requirement at the time of hire.
Promotion and Recruitment. 4.1 Canada and Nova Scotia will share roles and responsibilities in the planning and implementation of immigration promotion and immigrant recruitment activities abroad, recognizing Canada’s responsibility for coordinating such activities on a national level and Nova Scotia’s intent to pursue an immigration recruitment policy to meet its demographic, social and economic objectives. 4.2 Canada and Nova Scotia will, where appropriate and subject to the agreement of the Parties, share responsibilities in public education and information regarding the benefits of immigration to Nova Scotia. 4.3 Canada will endeavour to assist Nova Scotia in identifying overseas labour market and demographic information, as available, to assist in niche market recruitment. 4.4 Canada and Nova Scotia will share responsibilities to increase effective recruitment and promotional materials available for prospective immigrants overseas, including access to current information on labour markets and international qualifications recognition. 4.5 Canada and Nova Scotia will, where appropriate and subject to the agreement of the Parties, cooperate in the promotion and recruitment of Immigrants and Temporary Residents by working together in the following areas: a) Nova Scotia will provide Canada with Nova Scotia’s annual provincial nominee levels plan and objectives and Canada will ensure that its visa officers are informed about the plan and objectives; b) Nova Scotia will endeavour to provide Canada with information regarding the province's demographic, educational, labour market and other needs, and Canada will endeavor to provide information to Nova Scotia about optimum recruitment opportunities through Canadian missions abroad in order to meet Nova Scotia’s immigration needs; c) Nova Scotia will provide Canada with detailed information regarding the province's needs for Immigrants and Temporary Residents , and Canada will provide this information to its visa offices and make it accessible to qualified prospective Immigrants and Temporary Residents; d) Canada and Nova Scotia will establish mutually acceptable procedures, in accordance with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and federal and provincial privacy legislation, for providing available information related to specific applicants for permanent and temporary residence destined to Nova Scotia; and e) Canada will make all reasonable efforts proactively to manage the delivery of the immigration program to support the achie...
Promotion and Recruitment. 5.1 Canada and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island shall co-operate where practicable on planning and implementing promotion and recruitment activities abroad, recognizing Canada*s responsibility for co-ordinating such activities nationally. 5.2 This Agreement does not preclude either Party from undertaking promotion and recruitment activities independently. 5.3 Canada will work with Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island to explore ways in which Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island can best pursue its interests in the international education field and the entry of international students.
Promotion and Recruitment. 5.1 Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island agrees to undertake active recruitment initiatives designed to implement the strategy on immigration, including: a) participating at trade fairs and other targeted missions; b) development of promotional materials describing the nature and quality of life in Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island; c) preparation of information for staff working in Canadian missions abroad. 5.2 Canada agrees to make all practical efforts to assist Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island to identify prospective immigrants to fulfill Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island*s targets in its immigration strategy (subject to limitations imposed by conditions faced at missions at the relevant times, including competing promotional interests of other provinces and territories), including: a) directing potential applicants, through CIC*s website application kit, to visit the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island website; b) displaying promotional materials provided by Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island at selected missions abroad; c) participating in provincially initiated missions to attract immigrants within the limits of mission resources; d) inviting Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island to participate in national initiatives which provide opportunities to identify and recruit immigrants required to meet the goals of the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island Strategy on Immigration; and e) inviting Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island to participate, as appropriate, in training or information-sharing exercises with program managers and other mission staff to communicate province specific needs and opportunities. 5.3 The carrying out of promotion and recruitment activities is subject to the availability of necessary resources within the responsible Ministries.

  • Recruitment When advertising for employees, the contractor will include in all advertisements for employees the notation: "An Equal Opportunity Employer." All such advertisements will be placed in publications having a large circulation among minorities and women in the area from which the project work force would normally be derived. a. The contractor will, unless precluded by a valid bargaining agreement, conduct systematic and direct recruitment through public and private employee referral sources likely to yield qualified minorities and women. To meet this requirement, the contractor will identify sources of potential minority group employees, and establish with such identified sources procedures whereby minority and women applicants may be referred to the contractor for employment consideration. b. In the event the contractor has a valid bargaining agreement providing for exclusive hiring hall referrals, the contractor is expected to observe the provisions of that agreement to the extent that the system meets the contractor's compliance with EEO contract provisions. Where implementation of such an agreement has the effect of discriminating against minorities or women, or obligates the contractor to do the same, such implementation violates Federal nondiscrimination provisions. c. The contractor will encourage its present employees to refer minorities and women as applicants for employment. Information and procedures with regard to referring such applicants will be discussed with employees.

  • Promotion and Marketing For the purpose of promotion and marketing, the Borrower hereby authorizes and consents to the reproduction, disclosure and use by the Lenders and the Agent of its name, identifying logo and the Facilities. The Borrower acknowledges and agrees that the Lenders shall be entitled to determine, in their sole discretion, whether to use such information; that no compensation will be payable by the Lenders or the Agent in connection therewith; and that the Lenders and the Agent shall have no liability whatsoever to it or any of its employees, officers, directors, affiliates or shareholders in obtaining and using such information as contemplated herein.

  • Non-Recruitment The Executive agrees that the Company has invested substantial time and effort in assembling its present workforce. Accordingly, the Executive covenants and agrees that during the Term and the Post-Termination Period, he shall not, directly or indirectly through any other person or entity, solicit, induce or influence (other than pursuant to general, non-targeted public media advertisements), or attempt to solicit, induce or influence, any employee of the Company to leave his or her employment.

  • Promotion of Agreement It is agreed that Vendor will encourage all eligible entities to purchase from the TIPS Program. Encouraging entities to purchase directly from the Vendor and not through TIPS Agreement is a violation of the terms and conditions of this Agreement and will result in removal of the Vendor from the TIPS Program.

  • PROMOTION AND TRANSFER 9:1 Employees may file requests, in writing, for promotion to the Working Xxxxxxx classification or for a Employees may file requests, in writing, for promotion to the Working Xxxxxxx classification or for a transfer to a new location in their present classification with the Office of the Company. Whenever a vacancy occurs, the Company will, before filling such vacancy, first give consideration to such requests and the following factors being sufficient give preference on the basis of seniority. (a) Company shall give consideration to applications for promotion and transfer to vacancies on the basis of seniority, ability, licenses, disciplinary history within the previous nine (9) months and qualifications. 9:2 Requests for promotion or transfer shall expire at the end of six (6) months from the time of receipt by Company unless the Company has within the six (6) month period, received a request for extension. If such request for promotion or transfer is offered and the employee refuses, the request becomes null and void and he/she shall resubmit his/her request no sooner than six (6) months after the original request. 9:3 Company may either promote a lower classification or transfer an employee in the same classification, if a job is not filled under Section 9:1. 9:4 Whenever a temporary vacancy occurs in any job classification, the Company may fill it by appointment. If practicable, the Company shall fill such vacancy with the senior qualified employee in the next lower classification within the headquarters. Temporary vacancies shall be those vacancies caused by the absence of an employee due to industrial injury, leave of absence, vacation or sick leave and additional jobs which the Company contemplates will be of ninety (90) days’ duration or less. 9:5 Whenever the Company establishes a new headquarters or additional crews, employees within that geographical division shall be notified a sufficient time in advance to enable them to file a request for transfer or promotion to the new headquarters or crew. The Supervisor in the geographical area will notify the area Business Representative of new crew locations. 9:6 Employees who accept a promotion to a new headquarters will indicate in writing that he understands that acceptance of the promotion establishes him in a new permanent headquarters without lodging.

  • Recruitment and Retention Avenal, Ironwood, Calipatria and Chuckawalla Valley Prisons A. Effective July 1, 1998, employees who are employed at Avenal, Ironwood, Calipatria or Chuckawalla Valley State Prisons, Department of Corrections, for twelve (12) consecutive qualifying pay periods, shall be eligible for a recruitment and retention bonus of $2,400, payable thirty (30) days following the completion of the twelve (12) consecutive qualifying pay periods. B. If an employee voluntarily terminates, transfers, or is discharged prior to completing twelve (12) consecutive pay periods at Avenal, Ironwood, Calipatria, or Chuckawalla State Prisons, there will be no pro rata payment for those months at either facility. C. If an employee is mandatorily transferred by the department, he/she shall be eligible for a pro rata share for those months served. D. If an employee promotes to a different facility or department other than Avenal, Ironwood, Calipatria or Chuckawalla Valley State Prisons prior to completion of twelve (12) consecutive qualifying pay periods, there shall be no pro rata of this recruitment and retention bonus. After completing the twelve (12) consecutive qualifying pay periods, an employee who promotes within the Department will be entitled to a pro rata share of the existing retention bonus. E. Part-time and intermittent employees shall receive a pro rata share of the annual recruitment and retention differential based on the total number of hours worked excluding overtime during the twelve (12) consecutive qualifying pay periods. F. Annual recruitment and retention payments shall not be considered as compensation for purposes of retirement contributions. G. Employees on IDL shall continue to receive this stipend. H. If an employee is granted a leave of absence, the employee will not accrue time towards the twelve (12) qualifying pay periods, but the employee shall not be required to start the calculation of the twelve (12) qualifying pay periods all over. For example, if an employee has worked four (4) months at a qualifying institution, and then takes six (6) months’ maternity leave, the employee will have only eight (8) additional qualifying pay periods before receiving the initial payment of 2,400.

  • Training and Promotion a. The contractor will assist in locating, qualifying, and increasing the skills of minorities and women who are applicants for employment or current employees. Such efforts should be aimed at developing full journey level status employees in the type of trade or job classification involved. b. Consistent with the contractor's work force requirements and as permissible under Federal and State regulations, the contractor shall make full use of training programs, i.e., apprenticeship, and on-the-job training programs for the geographical area of contract performance. In the event a special provision for training is provided under this contract, this subparagraph will be superseded as indicated in the special provision. The contracting agency may reserve training positions for persons who receive welfare assistance in accordance with 23 U.S.C. 140(a). c. The contractor will advise employees and applicants for employment of available training programs and entrance requirements for each. d. The contractor will periodically review the training and promotion potential of employees who are minorities and women and will encourage eligible employees to apply for such training and promotion.
