Public Health Leave. A. Any employee who must be excluded from his/her work site as a result of an order by the Public Health Department relating to an outbreak of a vaccine preventable disease, and who has submitted to the District a claim of either a religious objection to, or medical exemption from, the necessary immunizations, shall suffer no loss of pay as a result of the exclusion, provided:

Public Health Leave. In the event of a public health crisis which requires employees to quarantine due to illness or exposure, an employee shall not be required to use PTO or Floating Holidays. In addition, the Red Cross and the Coalition agree to immediately engage in Effects Bargaining.
Public Health Leave. A. Any employee who must be excluded from his/her work site as a result of an order by the Public Health Department relating to an outbreak of a vaccine preventable disease, and who has submitted to the District a claim of either a religious objection to, or medical exemption from, the necessary immunizations, shall suffer no loss of pay as a result of the exclusion, provided: The employee accepts an assignment to an alternative work site as identified by the District during the period of exclusion; or The employee utilizes his/her accrued leave as identified in Section 7.01 if no alternative worksite is identified. In the event that an alternative worksite is unavailable, and the employee’s accrued leave as identified in Section 7.01 is exhausted; the District will provide the employee leave with full pay, until an alternative worksite is available. If an employee asserts an exemption as described above, he/she may be asked to provide the District with a verification of the exemption.

  • Public Health Public Health activities and reporting to the extent permitted by Applicable Law.

  • Health Leave Any regular employee of the District may, at the discretion of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for reasons of health, such leave to be specified for a period of not more than one year. Such leave may be extended in case of serious health conditions.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Acts Contractor(s) who perform any work under this contract shall fully comply with the provisions of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and any amendments thereto and regulations pursuant to the act. Any Contractor who fails to do so may be terminated for cause as set forth below.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act All employees who worked for the Employer for a minimum of twelve (12) months and worked at least 1250 hours during the past twelve (12) months are eligible for unpaid leave as set forth in the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Eligible employees are entitled to up to a total of 12 weeks of unpaid leave during any twelve (12) month period for the following reasons:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act The Employer, the Union and the employees agree to be bound by the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, S.N.S. 1996, c.7.

  • Federal Occupational Safety and Health Law Contractor represents and warrants that all articles and services shall meet or exceed the safety standards established and promulgated under the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended (29 U.S.C. Chapter 15).

  • Public Hearings If public hearings on the scope of work are held during the period of the Agreement, Contractor will make available to testify the personnel assigned to this Agreement. The Energy Commission will reimburse Contractor for compensation and travel of the personnel at the Agreement rates for the testimony which the Energy Commission requests.
