Common use of Public Office Leave Clause in Contracts

Public Office Leave. Upon written request by the Union and the individual concerned, the Company shall grant leave of absence without pay to any employee elected to and without pay while campaigning for his own election to the Provincial Legislature or the House of Commons. Such leave shall be for a maximum period of two (2) months in the case of his campaigning or for the term of such office in the case of his election.
