Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service. The charge shall be the product of the currently effective Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation sources Service Charge as provided for in Schedule 2 of PacifiCorp’s OATT and the amount calculated as the sum of the APD and Deseret Area Load. Deseret shall supply reactive energy as required for the Deseret Transmission System and agrees to operate the Bonanza generation facility as directed by PacifiCorp, acting as the Transmission Operator and Balancing Authority for the Deseret Transmission System, consistent with WECC and NERC standards for reactive supply and voltage control. Credits to offset in part or in total charges under Schedule 2 shall be applied for the Hunter II Resource, the Bonanza Resource, and any other generation of Deseret connected to PacifiCorp or the Deseret Transmission System pursuant to the terms of this Agreement and otherwise qualified to receive credit for reactive supply and voltage control pursuant to the criteria 1-3 and treatment of jointly-owned units as set forth below. Supply from the Hunter II Resource will be measured based on scheduled generation, and all other generator output will be measured based on actual generation. Generator Eligibility:

Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service. Michigan Transco will control transmission voltages on the Michigan Transco transmission facilities. Michigan Transco shall establish voltage schedules or reactive power schedules for each Resource, within its established capabilities, to maintain voltage levels in the Michigan Transco Transmission Service Area within stability limits that are generally accepted in the region and consistently adhered to by Michigan Transco. Michigan Transco shall provide to Consumers a daily forecast of reactive power requirements, and updates as needed the day ahead and throughout the day being forecasted, as an operational guide as outlined in Article 6 and Appendix A hereof. Within the limitations specified below, Consumers shall provide reactive power daily from operating Resources in a manner that will produce or absorb reactive power in amounts and over periods of time as needed by Michigan Transco. Under Michigan Transco's direction, Consumers may (i) vary the reactive power from its generating units in operation at the time or (ii) remove units from operation or place units in operation at its earliest convenience in a manner consistent with Good Utility Practice to allow for the delivery, absorption or redistribution among local units of reactive power; however, the removal of units from operation or the placing of units in operation shall be classified as a request for redispatch pursuant to Section 2 of the Network Operating Agreement between the Parties and compensated pursuant to said Network Operating Agreement. Consumers will not be obligated to provide reactive power when, in its sole judgement, to do so would damage or otherwise adversely affect the reliability of its Generation Resources.
Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service. Michigan Transco agrees to pay Consumers for provision of this Ancillary Service as rendered under this Agreement at the rates specified in Appendix B hereto. Michigan Transco will pay Consumers a proportional amount of revenues received from its transmission customers each month. The proportion will be determined in accordance with Consumers' and Third Parties' supply of this service to Michigan Transco.
Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service. All Consumers' generation sources will be operated to support Michigan Transco's transmission system facilities voltage profile by regulating their respective reactive power output within established limits.
Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service. In order to maintain transmission voltages on the NEPOOL Transmission System within acceptable limits, generation facilities are operated to produce (or absorb) reactive power. Thus, Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service must be provided for each transaction on the NEPOOL Transmission System. The amount of Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service that must be supplied with respect to a Transmission Customer's transaction will be determined based on the reactive power support necessary to maintain transmission voltages within limits that are generally accepted in the region and consistently adhered to by the Participants. Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service is to be provided through the Participants and the System Operator and the Transmission Customer must purchase this service from the Participants through the System Operator when the System Operator (or applicable satellite dispatching center) determines, in the exercise of its discretion, that it is necessary to direct a generating unit to alter its operations in an hour in order to provide such service. The charge for each hour for such service, when required by the System Operator (or satellite dispatching center) as set forth above, shall be paid by each Participant or Non-Participant which receives either Regional Network Service or Internal Point-to-Point Service or Through or Out Service and shall be determined in accordance with the following formula: The formula in Schedule 2 is amended to read as follows: (EQUATION) in which CH = the amount to be paid by the Participant or Non-Participant for the hour; CC = the capacity costs for the hour, which shall be stated in an informational filing with the Commission; LOC = the lost opportunity costs for the hour to be paid to Participants who provide VAR support; PC = the portion of the amount paid to Participants for the hour for Energy produced by a generating unit that is considered under the applicable Implementation Rule to be paid for VAR support; SCL = the cost of energy used in the hour by generating facilities, synchronous condensers or static controlled VAR regulators in order to provide VAR support to the transmission system; HL1 = the Network Load of the Participant or Non-Participant for the hour; HL = the aggregate of the Network Loads of all Participants and Non- Participants for the hour; RC1 = the Reserved Capacity for Internal Point-to-Point Servic...

Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation Sources Service. (a) Oglethorpe Power and GSOC agree that if the Southern Control Area requires additional or altered reactive dispatch, then the Southern Control Area operator shall have the right to call for an altered reactive dispatch from OPC Resources within the Southern Control Area, to the extent such resources are capable of such operation, including, but not limited to, the operation of resources which may have been off-line at the time of such request, without adverse distinction to Oglethorpe Power or GSOC; provided, however, that all generation facilities that become OPC Resources following the date of execution of this Agreement shall be capable of operating continuously at a leading power factor of 0.85. To the extent such requested operation results in additional costs, such costs shall be treated in accordance with the redispatch cost allocation methodology, if any, referenced in Section 3.3. Subject to the provisions of Section 11.3(b) below, Reactive Supply and Voltage Control From Generation Sources Service ("Reactive Service") will be deemed adequately provided by OPC Resources within the Southern Control Area as long as and to the extent that Oglethorpe Power complies with the Southern Control Area operator's calls for altered reactive dispatch. If Georgia Power reasonably determines, in accordance with Prudent Utility Practice, that Oglethorpe Power has failed to comply with the Southern Control Area operator's calls for altered reactive dispatch, Georgia Power shall treat Oglethorpe Power's failure to comply as a failure to meet specific performance criteria under Section 3.2(c) of this Agreement, and may terminate this Agreement upon ninety (90) Days prior written notice to Oglethorpe Power, in accordance with and subject to the procedures set forth in Section 3.2(c) of this Agreement.
