Real Estate and Legal Fees. On relocation, or within one (1) year of the effective date of relocation, an employee who purchases and/or sells their private dwelling house, shall be entitled to claim for the following expenses upon production of receipts: (a) Reimbursement of fees to a maximum of four thousand dollars ($4,000) charged by a real estate agency for the selling of the employee's private dwelling home in which they resided immediately prior to relocation. (b) An employee who has sold their own home without the aid of a realtor shall be entitled to claim five hundred dollars ($500). (c) Allowance for legal fees encumbered upon the employee because of the purchase of their private dwelling home in which they live after relocation shall be paid in accordance with the following: • one percent (1%) of the first forty thousand dollars ($40,000) of the purchase price; • one-half (½) of one percent (1%) of any amount of the purchase price above forty thousand dollars ($40,000); • the total cost to the Employer under Part (c) shall not exceed eight hundred dollars ($800). (d) Where an employee purchases a reasonable amount of property, secures a joint mortgage (land and private dwelling) and begins construction within six (6) months of relocation (i.e., foundation poured), the employee shall be entitled to reimbursement of legal fees not to exceed the amount specified in Section 2.10(c) above. In these circumstances, the reimbursement shall be for one transaction only. (e) The employee may only claim legal fee reimbursement under either Sections 2.10(c) or (d) above, not both.

Real Estate and Legal Fees. Any commission actually paid by a relocated employee who sells his or her primary residence which was occupied by the employee at the time the relocation offer was made, may be reimbursed up to a maximum level of $4,000. Legal fees connected with the selling of the house and the conveyancing of a new house (but not mortgage fees) will be reimbursed at cost. Property transfer taxes or GST may not be claimed.

(c) Allowance for legal fees encumbered upon the employee because of the purchase of his private dwelling house in which he lives after relocation will be paid in accordance with the following: ➢ one percent (1%) of the first (1st) forty thousand dollars ($40,000) of the purchase price; ➢ one-half (½) of one percent (1%) of any amount of the purchase price above forty thousand dollars ($40,000); ➢ the total cost to the Employer under part (c) shall not exceed eight hundred and eighty dollars ($880). (d) Where an employee purchases a reasonable amount of property, secures a joint mortgage (land and private dwelling) and begins construction within six (6) months of relocation (i.e. foundation poured), he shall be entitled to reimbursement of legal fees not to exceed the amount specified in (c) above. In these circumstances, the reimbursement shall be for one transaction only. The employee may only claim legal fee reimbursement in either (c) or (d), not both. APPENDIX 4 REHABILITATION COMMITTEE‌‌‌ 1.1 It is the intent of both Parties to encourage and facilitate the early return to gainful employment of employees who have been ill or injured. Therefore a rehabilitation committee will be established as follows: (a) The Committee shall consist of four (4) members, two (2) appointed by the Employer and two appointed by the Union. A secretary shall be appointed to assist with the administration of the Committee. In addition, resource people may attend at the request of either Party. (b) The Committee shall review cases of regular employees who have completed their initial probationary period and are not capable of performing the duties of their own occupation due to illness or injury.
