REGULAR ATTENDANCE AT WORK. 15.1 The Company and the Union jointly recognize that it is the responsibility of all employees to be regular in their attendance at work so that orderly operating schedules may be maintained without requiring excessive overtime or causing undue inconvenience to other employees. It is agreed that absences for reasons other than bona-fide illnesses or injury must be held to an absolute minimum. 15.2 An employee who has an irregular attendance pattern may be subject to progressive discipline up to and including discharge. Notification of such discipline will be given to the the Union.

REGULAR ATTENDANCE AT WORK. 9.1 The Company and the Union jointly recognize that it is the responsibility of each employee to be regular in his/her attendance at work so that orderly operating schedules may be maintained without requiring excessive overtime or causing undue inconvenience to other employees. It is agreed that absences for reasons other than bonafide illness or injury must be held to an absolute minimum. The Company will reimburse employees required to provide medical notes up to twice per year. Penalties for Irregular Attendance 9.2 Unjustified irregularity of attendance on the part of any employee shall render him/her liable for disciplinary action, which may range up to dismissal from employment for flagrant or habitual violations of this rule. 9.3 An employee who has an irregular attendance pattern will be given a written warning, a copy of which will be given to a member of the Goodwill Committee of the Union. If his/her attendance record fails to improve, he/she shall be subject to suspension from work for up to one (1) week. If his/her attendance continues to be irregular, he/she shall be subject to discharge. Clearance of Irregular Attendance Record 9.4 If an employee who has been warned or suspended for irregular attendance maintains a good attendance record for ninety (90) days following such warning or suspension, his/her attendance record shall be cleared as of the end of such ninety (90) day period. 9.5 If an employee finds it necessary to be absent for any reason and has not received advance permission from his/her Supervisor, he/she shall notify the Company (telephone Niagara Falls 000-0000) not later than one (1) hour before the start of the shift on which the absence is to occur. If such notification is not received on time, or the reason for absence is not considered valid, the absence will be recorded as "Absent without Leave." 9.6 Upon his/her return to work, the employee will be given an opportunity to explain to his/her Supervisor, the reasons for his/her absence and for his/her failure to report it on time. If his/her reasons are deemed satisfactory, the "Absent Without Leave" recording shall be changed to "Absent With Leave" or "Sickness", as the case may be. If his/her reasons are regarded as unsatisfactory, the "Absent Without Leave" designation will not be altered.
REGULAR ATTENDANCE AT WORK. The Union agrees to cooperate with the Employer to secure punctual and regular attendance at work and to do all in its power to eliminate tardiness or absenteeism.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Regular Benefits The Executive shall also be entitled to participate in any and all employee benefit plans, medical insurance plans, life insurance plans, disability income plans, retirement plans, bonus incentive plans and other benefit plans from time to time in effect for senior executives of the Employer. Such participation shall be subject to (i) the terms of the applicable plan documents, (ii) generally applicable policies of the Employer and (iii) the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Employer or any administrative or other committee provided for in or contemplated by such plan.
