Rights of Unit Members to Representation. Any aggrieved person may be represented at all stages of the grievance procedure by him or herself or by a representative of his or her choice. When a unit member is not represented by the Association, the Association shall have the right to be present at all stages of the grievance procedure.

Rights of Unit Members to Representation. Any unit member may be represented at any stage of the grievance procedure by any counsel of choice, except that the person may not be represented by an officer of any other teacher organization. Exclusive organizational representation shall be provided by the SEA. Should a unit member in exercising the rights under this Section reach an understanding or agreement with a supervisor, then the understanding or agreement must not be inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement. Copies of all correspondence, responses and final resolutions will be provided to the SEA.
