ROOM & BOARD. 14.01 On jobs beyond reasonable daily commuting distance from the cities of Edmonton or Calgary, where camp accommodation is available employees will stay in camp. All camps must meet the specifications as set out in the Building Trades of Alberta and Construction Labour Relations, an Alberta Association 2010 - 2018 Camp Rules and Regulations, or any successor thereto. All grievances concerning a camp will be resolved through the grievance procedure provided in the B.T.A. / C.L.R.A. Camp Rules and Regulations. Where camp accommodation is not available the Employer will pay a minimum per diem subsistence of $110 per day , except for subsistence rates established for specific communities and regions as posted at xxx.xxxx.xxx and xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xx.

Each Employer employing a xxxxx tender from Local Xxxxx, the geographic area of the Local, will contribute an additional five cents ($0.05) per hour for each hour worked by each xxxxx tender to Xxxxx Xxxxxxx Contractors Association, Xxx Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxx, Ontario, Such contributions shall be made on a supporting statement on one standard benefits reporting form showing all applicable deductions and/or contributions. Each Employer employing a xxxxx tender from Local Ottawa, in the geographic area of the Local, will contribute an additional three cents ($0.03) per hour for each hour worked by each xxxxx tender to the Ottawa Region Masonry Contractors Association. ROOM & BOARD. Employees sent by the Employer to a job, and who is required by the Employer to remain away at a hotel room, will be paid a board allowance of thirty- five dollars and fifty cents ($35.50) per day. Where the Employer has asked an employee to work more than 100 kilometers from the Employer’s base of operation and stay the night in such location, and the Employer, in its sole and absolute discretion, mandates due to inclement weather that such employee not work at least four hours in a day while such employee is in such location, Employer shall pay such employee 4 hours of wages for such day.
ROOM & BOARD. When employed on a job beyond sixty (60) miles from the Employer’s free zone consistent with Article VII, Section 2A, room and board shall be paid at the rate of Eighty-One dollars ($81.00) per day. This is to be paid on a five (5) day basis except if the job is of a shorter duration. Transportation shall be paid as prescribed in Section 2A of this Article. If a holiday falls within the workweek, room and board allowance shall be paid for five (5) days. On a job site located in the Room & Board zone, employees who have a permanent address in a city, town or village where the limits are less than 60 miles from the job site, then Room and Board shall not be required, and these employees shall be paid mileage from that city, town or village limits to the job site and return to said limits each workday. The last day employees are working on a job beyond the sixty (60) mile limit, they shall receive room and board allowance.
