Salary Scale Placement. 1. When a new employee is initially hired at a higher step on the salary scale than one or more non-probationary incumbent(s) working in the same classification at the same college, as established in Unit Classification, Appendix C (“lower placed incumbent(s)”), the lower placed incumbent(s) will be adjusted on the salary scale to at least the same step as the newly hired employee. Salary scale placement of any other non-probationary incumbent(s) at the same college who at the time of initial hire of the new employee are (1)working in a position at the same salary scale level as the position into which the newly hired employee has been placed; (2) working in the same program or department as the new employee; and (3) are at a lower step will be considered for adjustment in light of years of service in the current position, comparability of duties and comparability of qualifications.

  • Salary Schedule Placement 1. Credit hours for the purpose of placement on the salary schedule shall be defined as those semester hour credits earned for graduate courses that are within the teacher’s present certification or a planned program leading to additional areas of teacher certification, guidance or administration. Upon approval of the Superintendent, any other courses, graduate or undergraduate may be certified for proper placement on the salary schedule.

  • Initial Salary Placement Column Credit toward initial column placement begins with the Child Development Permit. Courses completed in addition to the Permit must be completed through an accredited college and shall be those courses offered for the attainment of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree and applicable to the field of Early Childhood education. Coursework grades need to be “C” or better, (Pass or Credit also apply). The teacher is required to provide an official transcript to Human Resources to verify and confirm their column placement.

  • Placement on Salary Schedule The following rules shall be applicable in determining placement of a teacher on the appropriate salary schedule:

  • Increment Date for Salary Grid Placement Upon achieving one (1) year of experience, an increment shall be awarded on the first of the month following the month in which the experience accumulation is earned.
