Scheduling Regulations - Full-time i) The Employer agrees to continue the present practice of scheduling full-time employees as outlined in Schedule “A” attached. ii) The Employer further agrees to consider alternate schedules presented by the Union. iii) In any two week period, at least two (2) consecutive days off must be scheduled. The remaining two (2) days off may be split by mutual consent. Up to seven (7) consecutive days of work may be scheduled. iv) Each employee shall be scheduled to work no more than one (1) weekend in four (4). A weekend includes the time period from the completion of the Friday day shift until the commencement of the Monday day shift. v) A) A period of two (2) consecutive tours off shall be scheduled between a change of tours.

Scheduling Regulations - Full-time i) Full-time employees shall be scheduled off every second weekend. A weekend shall consist of at least fifty-six (56) consecutive hours off duty from the completion of the Friday shift until the commencement of the Monday shift. ii) A full-time employee will receive premium pay in the amount of time and one half her regular hourly rate for all hours worked on a second and subsequent weekend, save and except where: A) such weekend has been worked by the employee to satisfy specific days off requested by such nurse; or B) such nurse has requested weekend work; or C) such weekend is worked as the result of an exchange of shifts with another employee; or iii) In any two (2) week period, at least two (2) consecutive days off must be scheduled. The remaining two (2) days off may be split by mutual consent. Up to seven (7) consecutive days of work may be scheduled. iv) Split tours will not be scheduled and paid holidays or day in lieu thereof shall not be used to change tours. v) If possible, an employee who normally rotates shall not be scheduled to work more than two (2) consecutive weeks on evening or night tour. vi) At least twenty-four (24) hours notice shall be given before a change of shift for full-time employees. If this notice has not been given, the employee shall be entitled to one and one-half (1½) times the hourly rate for the said shift. vii) When a full-time employee is called back to work outside of her or his regularly scheduled hours, the minimum payment will be the equivalent of four (4) hours work or one and one-half (1½) times her or his current rate of pay for hours actually worked, whichever is greater. viii) All of the above scheduling regulations may be changed with the mutual consent of the parties to this agreement.
Scheduling Regulations - Full-time. (a) Shift schedules shall be posted two (2) weeks in advance and cover a six (6) week period. A request for an exchange in the posted shift schedule must be submitted to the nursing office for approval at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the requested change. Such request must be in writing and by the nurse willing to make the exchange. Such exchange shall not in any event result in additional cost to the Hospital. The Hospitalwill schedule a of five (5) consecutive days off at either Christmas or New Year’s; however the Hospital will endeavour to schedule seven (7) consecutive days off. Time off at Christmas shall include December December and December Time off at New Year’s shall include December January I and January If necessary the master rotation may be altered and (a) and may be waived, between December and January to provide for Christmas and New Year’s time off. Requests for time off over Christmas and New Year’s must be in to the Director of Nursing, or her designate by October 15th and a list of time off from December 15th to January 15th will be posted by November 1st. Christmas and New Year’s off shall rotate each year subject to the staffing requirements of the Hospital and except as may be mutually agreed. If a nurse must work Christmas or New Year‘s for two consecutive years, the additional consecutive period shall be offered by seniority, should no one volunteer the least senior nurse shall be scheduled.
