Master Rotation. (a) The Employer will establish and maintain a master rotation schedule. In establishing the initial master rotation, Nurses will select their line on the rotation based on seniority provided the Nurses are able to perform the available work and subject to considerations of client needs and continuity.
(b) Once the master is established, the schedule may only be changed based on needs, volume changes and staffing requirements. Should permanent changes to the master rotation be required, resulting in Nurses having to change rotations or set days off, the Employer will discuss these changes with the Union prior to implementation. Note: It is understood that the initial implementation of a master rotation will not result in layoffs or reduction of hours of work for the current full-time and part-time staff.
Master Rotation. All guaranteed hours of work shall be posted and confirmed on a Master Rotation in accordance with Article 13.05 a), subject to the following: The Master Rotation shall include the guaranteed number of hours and shifts designated as either days, evenings or nights. The parties agree that there may be variable start and end times to a specific shift on a given day, subject to Article
Master Rotation i) Each unit will have a master rotation and a copy of the master rotation will be provided to the Union.
ii) Whenever a new master rotation is created, Full-time and Part-time Nurses will choose rotation lines by seniority.
iii) When a full time line becomes vacant on a specific unit, requests from Full Time Nurses on that unit may be submitted in writing for consideration of transferring to the vacant line in the rotation. Requests will be considered by seniority.
iv) Full-time and Part-time nurses may be considered for temporary full-time vacancies in accordance with Article 10.07 (d) of the Central Agreement.
Master Rotation. (applies only to full-time working either the regular or extended tour only) Individual lines on a master rotation shall not be changed without prior discussion between the employee affected and her immediate supervisor. Where an employee has complained to her Manager about a schedule and the Union requests a copy of the applicable schedule, the Manager shall provide a copy to the Union. Any time a new master rotation is created full-time employees on the unit will determine which line in the master rotation they will assume in order of seniority. If at any time an employee scheduled on a master rotation leaves their rotation for a reason such as permanent transfer, retirement, or termination of employment resulting in a permanent vacancy that the Employer intends to fill and provided the master rotation is not changing, full-time employees on the unit may express an interest in that line during the posting period. Employees’ selection of lines on the master rotation will not be unreasonably denied.

B) Whenever a new master rotation is created, RPT Nurses will choose rotation lines by seniority.
C) To provide up to .4 FTE / 2 wk period whenever possible.
Master Rotation. (a) Employees are Shift Workers who may be rostered to work Day, Afternoon and Night Shifts.
i. Rostering of Employees shall not exceed eight (8) hours per shift, however, shifts containing a travel/dock at the commencement of the shift, or a shunt and stable/travel at the completion of the shift, may be rostered to a maximum of eight (8) hours twenty nine (29) minutes.
ii. All weekend shifts shall be rostered no less than seven (7) hours duration.
iii. The Master Rotation will consist of X, X, X, X, X, X, X, X, Xxxx and Part- time Rosters at Flinders Street ERD and a rotation for each outstation depot.
iv. Part-time rosters shall be no more than thirty eight (38) hours per fortnight.
v. All rotations except D, G and S shall comprise of alternating weeks of Day and Afternoon shifts.
vi. All rotations with the exception of Flex, R Roster and speciality sequences, e.g. maternity/compassionate leave, shall display shift numbers.
vii. Outstation shift starts are to be staggered on the rotation to provide a variety of work.
viii. Outstation holiday relievers can be utilised to cover any roster, where there is no holiday shifts to cover at their home depot they will be required to travel to Flinders Street. Outstation holiday relievers can be utilised, by agreement with the Employee, to cover holiday shifts at alternative outstations.
ix. A, D, G, E and S Roster sequences will be as per their current strengths.
(b) The Flinders Street ERD Rotations will comprise of the following:

Master Rotation. Part-time staff will be scheduled up to a maximum of three (3) shifts per week prior to the schedule being posted starting with the most senior to cover vacations, sick time etc. If an employee is scheduled for a shift that they are unable to do then it is the employee’s responsibility to mutually exchange the shift with your Manager’s approval. If an employee is unable to meet this requirement, they will have the option of converting to casual status. The Parties will put a master rotation into effect for all available regular part-time employees who are currently employed at the Home in all classifications. Any shift that becomes available prior to the schedule being posted eg. sick days, statutory holidays, vacations, will be assigned starting with the most senior employee within the classification continuing on a rotating basis up to a maximum of twenty-four

20.01 Extended shifts for R.P.N. staff and Orderlies on any of the nursing units will be introduced when:
(a) Seventy –five (75%) percent of the staff on the unit agree to the extended shift. The vote will be supervised by Management and Union Representatives; or
(b) Any employee who wishes to enter into an extended hour shift will do so with the knowledge and agreement of the employee, the Employer and the Union; or
(c) The Union and the Employer agree to a process to implement extended hours in a unit/department.
(d) Either party may terminate this agreement re: Extended Shifts, on three months notice.
(e) The staff on any given unit may opt out of such extended shifts by the conduct of a vote, majority decision, with such voting supervised by Management and Union representatives.
