Section 10.8.1. Job postings shall utilize the appropriate approved job description.
Section 10.8.1. 33 Any job posting must include the job title, location, and number of hours and the number of 34 contracted days. A complete description of the job shall be available by the District to any 35 applicant who requests it.
Section 10.8.1. Employees enjoying seniority in an additional part-time position shall retain their hire date in 20 the additional position so long as there is no break in continuous assignment in that position in 21 excess of two (2) years.
Section 10.8.1. 43 If a regular driver fills a temporary position, his/her position will be posted as a temporary 44 position and filled by a qualified regular employee or a substitute driver. 46 All regular drivers affected by a temporary move will return to their former positions and 47 appropriate rates of pay when the temporary position has expired.
Section 10.8.1. Employees on layoff shall have the opportunity to sign up for placement on the substitute list. 44 Pay will be according to Schedule A.
Section 10.8.1. 30 Employees may apply and be considered for hours that conflict with their current position if the 31 conflict is solely a result of Late Arrival/Early Dismissal schedules.
Section 10.8.1. 11 Regular driving assignments, including kindergarten runs, shall be posted and offered to drivers 12 by seniority prior to the start of the school year when ability, performance and reasonable 13 qualifications are substantially equal with junior employees. The District reserves the right to 14 re-bid assignments during the school year or not to do so; however, re-bidding shall take place, 15 as soon as reasonably possible, if any driving assignment increases or decreases two and one- 17 assignments.
Section 10.8.1. 2 In order to minimize the domino effect in filling open positions, in a classification, the District 3 may expedite the filling of open positions by notifying and awarding the positions to senior 4 (interested) employees directly.
Section 10.8.1. 28 A new or open position that exceeds thirty (30) work days shall be subject to the posting 29 provisions of this Agreement. Long term substitute positions shall be subject to the posting 30 provisions when it is determined that there are more than thirty (30) work days remaining. Short 31 term substitutes, less than thirty (30) work days, will be reviewed monthly on a case by case 32 basis to determine any anticipated change in status.
Section 10.8.1. 3 When changes in assignments are made, the request of a driver or transportation assistant to 4 decline time will be considered but may not be accommodated if allowing the driver to decline 5 time would result in inefficiency or would increase the expense of transporting children. 7 And more language better suited to Article VII - Moved to new 7.7.11.2
