Senior and Middle a. Middle and Senior High School hours are 8:00 - 4:00. Schools may make adjustment to these times, but the total time shall be maintained. High school teachers may, on a voluntary basis, start work at an earlier starting time than 8:00 a.m. and leave work at an earlier release time if they teach in a high school instructional program which starts prior to 8:00 a.m. The total time for the teachers in these programs shall be the same as the total work hours for all other teachers in the same building. The ending time of day will be moved proportionate to the adjusted starting time, e.g. 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.; 7:30 a.m.-3:30

School may be dismissed in middle and high schools prior to the regular dismissal time of students during the regular school day for the purpose of staff development in the middle and high school and parent-teacher conferences in the middle school. The Area Assistant Superintendent must approve such early dismissal. Staff members shall be required to attend such meetings. Every reasonable effort shall be made to conclude such meeting by the end of the regular school day. In the event of an early dismissal under this section, each class in the class schedule shall be shortened by the necessary number of minutes. c. Full-time is established as 25 hours of classroom instruction per week, 5 classes per day, or 4 classes plus a study hall, or any other combination of assigned regular teaching duties. d. A teacher is to be in his/her assigned building continuously when school is in session unless excused by the principal.‌

  • MANAGEMENT OF EVALUATION OUTCOMES 12.1 Where the Employer is, any time during the Employee’s employment, not satisfied with the Employee’s performance with respect to any matter dealt with in this Agreement, the Employer will give notice to the Employee to attend a meeting; 12.2 The Employee will have the opportunity at the meeting to satisfy the Employer of the measures being taken to ensure that his performance becomes satisfactory and any programme, including any dates, for implementing these measures; 12.3 Where there is a dispute or difference as to the performance of the Employee under this Agreement, the Parties will confer with a view to resolving the dispute or difference; and 12.4 In the case of unacceptable performance, the Employer shall – 12.4.1 Provide systematic remedial or developmental support to assist the Employee to improve his performance; and 12.4.2 After appropriate performance counselling and having provided the necessary guidance and/or support as well as reasonable time for improvement in performance, the Employer may consider steps to terminate the contract of employment of the Employee on grounds of unfitness or incapacity to carry out his or her duties.

  • Mutuality The Parties acknowledge and declare that this Agreement is the result of extensive negotiations between them. Accordingly, if there is any ambiguity in this Agreement, there shall be no presumption that this instrument was prepared solely by any Party.

  • PROFESSORS AND TEACHERS A professor or teacher who makes a temporary visit to a Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years for the purpose of teaching or conducting research at a university, college, school or other educational institution, and who is, or immediately before such visit was, a resident of the other Contracting State shall be exempt from tax in the first-mentioned Contracting State in respect of remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • Seniority Roster The District shall maintain an updated seniority roster, indicating employee's class seniority and hire date seniority. Such rosters shall be available to CSEA.

  • Seniority Retention Laid off employees shall retain their seniority accumulated up to the time of layoff as follows: (a) If laid off after three (3) months’ continuous employment – up to three (3) months; or (b) If laid off after twelve (12) or more months’ continuous employment – up to one (1) year.

  • Seniority Rosters The Employer agrees to furnish the Union each January 31 and July 31 with rosters of all employees who accrue seniority, their current and prior classifications, and start date in each classification and University start date per Section 1. Employees who have accepted positions outside the bargaining unit do not accrue class seniority in the bargaining unit when employed in positions outside the bargaining unit, but retain prior seniority earned in the bargaining unit. When two (2) or more employees have the same classification seniority date, ties shall be broken by recognizing the employee with the greater University seniority first. If a tie still continues, the employee's seniority position shall be determined by lot.

  • JOINT CONSULTATION 25.01 The parties acknowledge the mutual benefits to be derived from joint consultation and will consult on matters of common interest. 25.02 The subjects that may be determined as appropriate for joint consultation will be by mutual agreement of the parties. 25.03 Wherever possible, the Council shall consult with representatives of the Professional Institute at the appropriate level about contemplated changes in conditions of employment or working conditions not governed by this Agreement.

  • Lead Hand Employee who performs hands-on work in a group or small section of a department (usually four or fewer employees) and directs work assignments and is responsible for its completion. Employees providing work direction or supervision must be layered over (i.e. placed at a higher classification than) all employees to whom direction or supervision is provided. The resulting classification will be determined by the classification levels of the applicable job family.

  • Wage Scale The wages shown in Appendix A will be part of this Agreement.
