Special Family Leave. An employee with responsibilities in relation to either members of their immediate family, or members of their household, who need their care may use accrued sick leave to provide care and support for them when they are ill. Where the employee has used all available sick leave, the employee may take an additional two days unpaid leave per occasion. The employee shall provide proof to the company, by way of medical certificate, of the illness or injury.

Special Family Leave. An employee may use a total of 5 days of his/her personal accrued sick leave to supervise the convalescence of a family member, provided that satisfactory documentation of the family member's illness is sighted by the employer.
Special Family Leave. 32.1. An Employee with responsibilities in relation to members of their immediate family or in relation to members of their household who need their care and support will be entitled to use, in accordance with this clause, five days non-cumulative special family leave for absences to provide care and support for such persons when they are ill, or when an emergency renders it essential that the Employee attend to that person.
Special Family Leave. If you have responsibilities in relation to either members of your immediate family or members of your household who need your care and support, you will be entitled to use, in accordance with this clause, your sick leave entitlement for absences from work to provide care and support for such person if they are ill. Special Family Leave. The sick leave entitlement provided in clause 29 of this agreement may be utilised by the employee for the purposes of attending to or caring for an ill member of the employees immediate family provided that employee has the sole or shared responsibility for the care of the family member and can produce or forward to the company, satisfactory evidence of the family members illness. A further two unpaid days leave of absence may be utilised by the employee in addition to the leave available in Clause 29.

  • Family Leave 1. An Appointing Authority shall grant to a full time or part time employee who has completed his/her probationary period, or if there is no such probationary period, has been employed for at least three consecutive months, an unpaid leave of absence for up to twenty-six (26) weeks in conjunction with the birth, adoption or placement of a child as long as the leave concludes within twelve (12) months following the birth or placement.   • Family Sick Leave An employee may use Family Sick Leave for the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family who requires the care and assistance of the employee. Up to eighty (80) hours per calendar year of the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave may be used for this purpose.

  • Family Illness Leave An employee will be granted leave of absence for up to five (5) days per year without loss of pay or benefits for family illness. Additional family illness leave may be granted by the employer.
