SPECIAL SAFETY MEASURES. To insure safety and eliminate unnecessary occupational accidents, the Employers agree that: Whenever practical, equipment shall be properly cabbed and screened. To eliminate the noise and fumes from exhaust on equipment, the exhaust shall be raised above the cab of the machine. Tandem rubber tired pulls, Euclid and similar types shall have exhausts installed on a vertical basis with no side elbows. The seats and standard manufacturers padding shall be maintained in good repair. High speed haul roads shall be properly maintained. Brakes shall be maintained on all rubber tired, self-propelled equipment. Safety belts shall be required on all rubber tired equipment. Adequate lights shall be provided for equipment operated at night. Rear view mirrors will be maintained on all truck cranes. Boom stops shall be maintained on all cranes. All cranes shall carry pertinent information or a poster with respect to manufacturers rated capacity relative to boom lengths and load capacity. All items required for the safe operation of the equipment shall be in working condition. All signalmen shall use standard signals.

SPECIAL SAFETY MEASURES. 6.2.1. To insure safety and eliminate unnecessary occupational accidents, the Employers agree that vehicles will be properly cabbed and screened and shall be equipped with heaters and defrosters. On-the-highway vehicles shall be equipped with large mirrors. 6.2.2. In the event of a legitimate safety complaint applicable to the job, the employee involved shall not suffer disciplinary action of such serious nature as to cause him to lose his job. 6.2.3. The employee will notify his supervisor immediately of any alleged safety defect. If the employee and his supervisor are in disagreement regarding the serviceability of the equipment, the employee's Union Representative and the Employer will be the first called to resolve the dispute. 6.2.4. No employee shall be required to drive a vehicle that does not meet the requirements of the State vehicle safety codes with regard to brakes, running gear and mechanical soundness. If an employee is requested to drive a vehicle in violation of this clause, the Union will contact the Employer and in the event necessary corrections are not made, the Union will then contact the AGC. If the Union and AGC agree on the violation, the refusal of the employee to operate such vehicle until it is repaired shall not be a violation of this Agreement, and no further steps of arbitration shall apply. It shall not be a violation of this Agreement, or cause for disciplinary action, where employees refuse to operate equipment or a vehicle when such operation constitutes a violation of any state or federal rules, regulations, standards or orders applicable to commercial motor vehicle safety or health.

  • Safety Measures Awarded vendor shall take all reasonable precautions for the safety of employees on the worksite, and shall erect and properly maintain all necessary safeguards for protection of workers and the public. Awarded vendor shall post warning signs against all hazards created by the operation and work in progress. Proper precautions shall be taken pursuant to state law and standard practices to protect workers, general public and existing structures from injury or damage.

  • Security Measures Lessee hereby acknowledges that the rental payable to Lessor hereunder does not include the cost of guard service or other security measures, and that Lessor shall have no obligation whatsoever to provide same. Lessee assumes all responsibility for the protection of the Premises, Lessee, its agents and invitees and their property from the acts of third parties.

  • Remedial Measures Upon becoming aware of an alleged security breach, Contractor’s Contract Manager must set up a conference call with the Department’s and the Customer’s Contract Manager. The conference call invitation must contain a brief description of the nature of the event. When possible, a thirty (30)- minute notice will be given to allow Department personnel to be available for the call. If the designated time is not practical for the Customer, an alternate time for the call will be scheduled. Contractor must share all available information on the call. The Contractor must answer all questions based on the information known at that time and answer additional questions as additional information becomes known. The Contractor must provide the Department and Customer with final documentation of the incident including all actions that took place. If the Contractor becomes aware of a security breach or security incident outside of normal business hours, the Contractor must notify the Department’s and the Customer’s Contract Manager and in all events, within one business day.
