Splitting Vacations. For those Employees choosing to split their vacation into three (3) or more increments, seniority will apply only to the first (1st) and second (2nd) choice of vacation increments in each anniversary year. All vacation request forms shall allow the Employee to indicate which requested vacation period is his/her or her first (1st) choice, which is his/her second (2nd) choice, and which is his/her the third (3rd) choice.
Splitting Vacations. For those Employees choosing to split their vacation into two (2) or more increments, seniority will apply only to the first (1st) and second (2nd) choice of vacation increments. After the first round, subsequent rounds of vacation choice approvals will occur based on seniority until completion. All vacation request forms shall allow the Employee to indicate which requested vacation period is his/her first (1st) choice, which is his/her second (2nd) choice, and which is his/her third (3rd) choice and so on. When his/her first (1st) choice becomes unavailable, his/her second (2nd) choice becomes his/her first choice, and so on.
Splitting Vacations. The full earned vacation may be taken at one (1) time, 4 providing it conforms with Number 3, or may be split into two (2) or more segments. 5 Vacation picks must be minimum of one (1) cycle duration, however, an employee 6 having only one (1) unit remaining may select any unit in a cycle, except in the summer 7 period on their initial pick.
Splitting Vacations. 14.03.01 An employee with at least two (2) or more weeks of vacation may elect to split their period of vacation into segments of one or more whole weeks. 14.03.02 Employees may elect to take five (5) days of their vacation on a day-at-a-time (DAT) basis. The employee will make their election known to the Company in conjunction with their designation of vacation period preferences. A holiday, regular scheduled day off or another vacation day cannot be designated as a day-at-a-time vacation day. Awarding of DAT days will be in accordance with procedures developed by mutual agreement between the Company and the Union.
Splitting Vacations. A pilot may split the pilot’s vacation into as many as 4 separate periods provided each period contains a minimum of 7 days vacation; provided further, however, that a pilot who has accrued fewer than 7 vacation days in the previous calendar year shall take all accrued vacation days as a single period. Once awarded, a period of vacation may not be split.
