Staff Training and Supervision Clause Samples
The Staff Training and Supervision clause requires that personnel involved in performing contractual duties are properly trained and adequately supervised. In practice, this means the party responsible must ensure their staff possess the necessary skills, qualifications, and oversight to carry out their roles effectively and in compliance with relevant standards or regulations. This clause helps maintain service quality, reduces the risk of errors or misconduct, and ensures accountability by mandating appropriate oversight of staff activities.
Staff Training and Supervision. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all personnel, including any subcontractor(s) performing services under this Agreement, receive appropriate training and supervision. CONTRACTOR shall also maintain appropriate levels of staffing at all times when performing services under this Agreement.
Staff Training and Supervision. 3.9.1 Contractor shall institute and maintain an in-service training program of treatment review and case conferences in which all its professional, para-professional, intern, student, and clinical volunteer personnel shall participate.
3.9.2 Contractor shall institute and maintain appropriate supervision of all persons providing services under this Contract with particular emphasis on the supervision of para-professionals, interns, students, and clinical volunteers in accordance with Departmental clinical supervision policy.
3.9.3 Contractor shall be responsible for the provision of mandatory training for all staff at the time of initial employment and on an ongoing basis as required by federal and State law, including but not limited to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Sexual Harassment, and for the training of all appropriate staff on the Los Angeles County DMH Organizational Provider’s Manual for Specialty Mental Health Services under the Rehabilitation Option and Targeted Case Management Services, and other State and County policies and procedures as well as on any other matters that County may reasonably require.
3.9.4 Contractor shall document and make available upon request by the federal, State and/or County the type and number of hours of training provided to Contractor’s officers, employees, agents, and subcontractors.

3.9.5 Contractor and all Contractor staff is/are required to participate in DMH-sponsored Promoting Placement Stability: Utilizing the Child and Family Team Process training. This training increases participant’s knowledge of the implementation of the child and family teaming process intended to help children maintain a stable placement. The training will cover the impact of placement disruptions on children and youth. Additional review addresses the use of the Integrated Core Practice Model to encourage collaboration of both formal and informal supports, and to identify risk factors to further assist children and families with placement stability. Participants will have the opportunity to explore their thoughts and beliefs around trauma and cultural considerations that influence placement stability, specifically within the Child and Family Team process.
(1) Contractor will ensure that all staff are trained within 60 days of Contract execution and all new-hire staff participate in the training within 60 days of the hiring date.

Staff Training and Supervision. 15 3.7.1 At minimum and at no cost to COUNTY, CONTRACTOR shall 16 ensure that designated staff complete the following:

7.1 CONTRACTOR shall provide in-service training for Master/Associate Level, Non- Licensed Clinicians and Trainees/Interns, to include the following:
7.1.1 Initial six (6) hours training course on child abuse and an initial six (6) hours training course on spousal/partner abuse/domestic violence within six (6) months of hire date.
7.1.2 Six (6) hours refresher training course on spousal/partner abuse/domestic violence issues within three (3) years of completing the initial training courses referenced in Subparagraph 7.1.1 of this Attachment A.
7.1.3 The Program Director and key direct service staff shall attend an SSA training on CFS policies and procedures as requested by ADMINISTRATOR.
7.1.4 The Program Director shall provide a minimum of one (1) hour of individual supervision per week and two (2) hours of group supervision per month to all direct service staff.
7.2 CONTRACTOR’s staff shall attend SSA training, conferences, and meetings as required by SSA.
7.3 CONTRACTOR shall provide CONTRACTOR’s staff with ongoing training and assistance to ensure that service deliverables are met.
7.4 CONTRACTOR shall ensure that CONTRACTOR’s staff receives cultural awareness and responsiveness training.
7.5 CONTRACTOR shall maintain a log of in-house training activities for CONTRACTOR’s staff. This log shall be made available to SSA, upon request.

PROVIDER shall train and maintain appropriate supervision of all persons providing services under this Agreement with particular emphasis on the supervision of para-professionals, interns, students, and clinical volunteers in accordance with PROVIDER’s clinical supervision policy. PROVIDER shall be responsible for the training of all appropriate staff on DHCS Specialty Mental Health Billing Manual, and other State and County policies and procedures as well as on any other matters that COUNTY may reasonably require. PROVIDER shall ensure, if applicable, that staff receive annual training on Medi-Cal documentation, specialty mental health services, and care coordination, cultural competency, dual diagnosis treatment interventions and supports, crisis intervention/de-escalation/stabilization, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇-Short (LPS) law/standards, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). PROVIDER may request Technical Assistance from COUNTY to ensure training standards are being met. PROVIDER shall ensure all staff providing services under this Agreement shall do so in accordance with COUNTY’s current Continuum of Care Reform policy. COUNTY shall provide this policy to

4.10.1.1 An initial seven (7) hour training course on 13 spousal/partner abuse/domestic violence issues must be completed within six 14 (6) months of hiring.

Provider shall be responsible for the training of all appropriate staff on the State’s Drug and Alcohol/Narcotic Treatment Program Fiscal Reporting System requirements, and other State and County policies and procedures as well as on any other matters that County may reasonably require. Provider will submit to County annual proof that staff have been trained in Title 22 requirements.
