Starting Salaries. (a) A member’s starting salary will usually be the base salary for the rank at which the member was hired. However a member may be hired beyond the base salary for the particular rank based on the member’s relevant experience and prevailing market conditions.
(b) The rationale for the starting salary, including the number of years of relevant previous experience, shall be included in the member’s letter of appointment.
Starting Salaries. (a) The appropriate ASM salary at the time of appointment will be determined following an assessment of a new staff’s skills and attributes according to the Institute’s starting salaries policy.
(b) The employer may pay a market allowance over the assessed salary level (see clause 4.4.1 below and see part 13 transitional provisions).
Starting Salaries. The employer shall operate his/her policy in respect of the determination of starting salaries for employees. The local branch of TEU shall be invited to participate in any review of this policy.
Starting Salaries. A new employee is to be started at the minimum salary of the classification. However if he/she has had previous experience in work similar to the type of work to be performed for the Employer he/she may be given one increment on the salary schedule.
Starting Salaries. The appropriate ASM salary at the time of appointment will be determined following an assessment of a new employee’s skills and attributes according to NMIT’s starting salaries policy.
Starting Salaries. The starting salary for new employees is the minimum salary for a position. Employees may start at a higher rate not to exceed 15% of the start rate upon the recommendation of the department head and the approval of the Human Resources Director. Starting salaries exceeding 15% of the start rate require the authorization of the Human Resources Director and the City Manager. The City reserves the right to bargain with the Association to make adjustments to increase the starting pay rates due to market surveys.
Starting Salaries. (a) The appropriate salary at the time of appointment will be determined following an assessment of a new Employee’s skills and attributes according the University’s First Salary Assessment for Lecturers policy.
(b) The Employer may pay a market force allowance over the assessed salary level, (see clause 4.4.1 below). Refer to the First Salary Assessment for New Lectures Procedures .
Starting Salaries. Employees appointed to the Polytechnic for the first time will be appointed to the relevant salary scale taking into account the agreed starting salary Policy and Procedure.
Starting Salaries. 3.2.1 The employer shall develop and make available a policy in respect of the determination of starting salaries for employees covered by this Agreement. The local branch of the union shall be invited to participate in the development of this policy.
Starting Salaries. 5.2.1 The employer will assess and assign the kaimahi starting grade and remuneration in accordance with the relevant policy. This policy shall be reviewed and amended periodically by The employer in consultation with AASC.
5.2.2 Where the employer deems it necessary on an equitable basis to appoint a kaimahi at a rate of salary higher than that initially assessed, the difference between the actual salary paid and the assessed base salary on the grade shall be met by way of an allowance. This allowance may be abated (in consultation with AASC) by any subsequent salary increases (including promotion).
