STAT HOLIDAY COVERAGE. 24.01 The Employer maintains the discretion to keep clinics open on statutory holidays. Employees are obligated to work on statutory holidays, and will receive holiday pay in accordance with Article 15.03, and will be scheduled based on the following: Effective June 15, 2018, any clinic that requires coverage and has not yet filled the shifts will have all clinic employees provide their Territory Manager with their availability to work statutory holidays until the regular Statutory Holiday coverage cycle which will begin in November 2018. Effective November 1, all Employees will provide their Territory Manager with their availability to work a minimum of 3 statutory holidays during the balance of the year until November of the following calendar year. The list will be completed with the senior employees making their selections first. It is agreed that alternating years be a different selection from the previous Any remaining statutory holidays will be scheduled on a volunteer basis by seniority. In the event that there are additional shifts to fill, the Employer will schedule the most junior casual employee(s) first where possible. Once the casual list is exhausted, the Employer will schedule the most junior employee(s) from the part-time list then the full-time list to fill the remaining shifts. The Employer reserves its right to schedule statutory holidays on an equitable basis. The employer will finalize and post the schedule with as much advance notice as possible. STAT HOLIDAY COVERAGE. Where practical, Technicians will not be scheduled on statutory holidays. Where this is not practical volunteers will be requested from local membership, if sufficient coverage is not obtained through this request the work will be offered to contractors, if sufficient coverage is not obtained after this, techs will be assigned according to seniority, lowest to highest. The company maintains its right to staff to a level that fits the needs for that time.

  • Family Coverage The employee’s cost for family coverage will be nineteen and one-half percent (19.5%) of the family rate for the employee’s Base Medical Plan. If the employee chooses a plan other than the Base Medical Plan, the employee’s cost will be the standard employee’s family rate established for that plan (i.e. the rate applicable where it has not been modified to be a zone’s Base Medical Plan). The employer shall pay the rate over and above the employee’s cost for the Base Medical Plan.

  • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).

  • Paid Holiday Bank Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Paid Holiday Pay Payment for holidays will be made at an employee’s basic pay, except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than her regular position for a majority of the sixty (60) working days preceding her holiday, in which case she shall receive the higher pay.

  • Disability Coverage In the event a State employee goes on an extended medical disability, or is receiving Workers’ Compensation benefits, the Employer-policyholder shall continue at no cost to the employee the coverage of the group life insurance for such employee for the period of such extended leave, but not beyond two (2) years.

  • Primary Coverage All insurance policies shall provide that the required coverage shall apply on a primary and not on an excess or contributing basis as to any other insurance that may be available to OGS or any Authorized User for any claim arising from a Contractor’s work under any Contract awarded as a result of this solicitation, or as a result of a Vendor or Contractor’s activities. Any other insurance maintained by OGS or any Authorized User shall be excess of and shall not contribute with the Vendor/Contractor’s insurance.

  • Religious Holiday Leave An employee may use two (2) sick days for religious observances if he/she has no personal business leave days. When an employee requests the use of this leave for days not known to be a religious holiday, the Board may request documentation.

  • Sunday Premium All hours worked by an Employee on Sunday, shall be paid for on the basis of one and one-half (1½) times the Employee’s Regular Rate of Pay. For the purpose of this Section, Sunday shall be deemed to be the twenty-four (24) hours beginning with the shift change hour nearest to 12:01 a.m.
