STATE ASSISTANCE. The State will afford the Joint Venturers all such reasonable assistance as they may require during the course of the investigations and the studies to enable them to complete the same and to that end will furnish such advice and commentaries as the Joint Venturers may require and as may be reasonably practicable for the State so to do.
STATE ASSISTANCE. The Board specifically recognizes the right of its teachers appropriately to invoke the assistance of the Employment Relations Commission, or a mediator from such public agency, or an arbitrator appointed pursuant to the provisions of this Agreement.
STATE ASSISTANCE. The department and the state board may provide the following services and resources to assist school administrative units that form a regional school leadership academy:
A. Guidance to help school administrative units create the supports and conditions to promote professional development of their own leadership; [PL 2019, c. 70, §5 (NEW).]
B. Facilitation of partnerships between state education policy officials from the department and the state board and education leadership professionals, educator preparation programs and statewide education associations to enhance the promotion of collaborative partnerships; and [PL 2019, c. 70, §5 (NEW).]
X. Xxxxxxxxxx and resources to regional school leadership academies to encourage teachers to become candidates for school leadership positions; to provide pathways for aspiring candidates to explore, study, practice and take on leadership roles in their schools; and to employ mentors and coaches to provide training for newly hired school principals and school leaders that improves their awareness of standards‑based instruction and learning and develops their leadership skills. Beginning in fiscal year 2020-21, the department shall consider providing the following resources:
(1) Awarding state grant funds from the Fund for the Efficient Delivery of Educational Services pursuant to chapter 114‑A for academies that apply and qualify for such grants; and
(2) Allocating state funding pursuant to section 15688‑A, subsection 9 to school administrative units that form a regional school leadership academy. [PL 2019, c. 70, §5 (NEW).] [PL 2019, c. 70, §5 (NEW).]
STATE ASSISTANCE. A critical component of the Project described above is a requirement of state assistance, in the form of a grant3 (“Project Development Grant”) in order to secure the Project investment for the Community and State. The Project Development Grant required for this Project’s success is described as follows:
STATE ASSISTANCE. To assist the County in alleviating the County’s financial emergency, the Michigan Department of Treasury (“Treasury”) may provide the County with financial management and technical assistance as requested by the County Executive, including assistance in implementing the revenue estimating process described in section 5. Assistance under this section 4 is subject to the mandate under Const 1963, art 9, § 17 that no money may be paid out of the state treasury except in pursuance of appropriations made by law. County officers, employees, agents, and contractors shall promptly and fully provide the assistance and information necessary for the provision of state assistance under this section 4 as requested by an officer, employee, agent, or contractor of Treasury.
STATE ASSISTANCE. To assist the District in alleviating the financial emergency within the District, the Michigan Department of Treasury (“Treasury”) and the Michigan Department of Education (“MDE”) will provide the District with the financial management and technical assistance detailed in Schedule C, consistent with Section 8(1) of the Act. The provision of assistance by Treasury or MDE is subject to the mandate under Section 17 of Article IX of the State Constitution of 1963 that no money may be paid out of the state treasury except in pursuance of appropriations made by law. Consistent with Section 12(1)(s) of the Act, the District may apply for a loan from the state, subject to the conditions of the Emergency Municipal Loan Act, 1980 PA 243, MCL 141.931 to 141.942, or other applicable law.
STATE ASSISTANCE. (a) To assist the Township in alleviating the Township’s financial emergency, the Michigan Department of Treasury (“Treasury”) shall provide the Township with the financial management and technical assistance detailed in schedule C. The Supervisor, when requested or approved by the Consultant, or the Consultant if the Township has no supervisor, will retain 1 or more persons or firms, which may be an individual or firm selected from a list of 3 or more persons or firms approved by the State Treasurer, to perform the duties of a local inspector or a local auditor as described in section 12(1)(p) of Act 436, to assist the Township in implementing this agreement. Assistance under this subsection is subject to the mandate under Const 1963, art 9, § 17 that no money may be paid out of the state treasury except in pursuance of appropriations made by law.
(b) Consistent with section 12(1)(s) of Act 436, the Township may apply for a loan from the state, subject to conditions under the Emergency Municipal Loan Act, 1980 PA 243, MCL 141.931 to 141.942, or other applicable law.
STATE ASSISTANCE. 1. The provision of any assistance by the Parties shall be carried out in compliance with the WTO Agreement of subsidies and compensating measures.
2. The provision of any assistance by the Parties with regard to agricultural products shall be carried out in compliance with the provisions of the WTO Agreement on agriculture.
3. The Parties shall ensure transparency of the measures in the area of state assistance, including the provision of annual reciprocal reports on the total volume of state assistance and on its distribution by way of providing information, by request of the other Party, about the scheme of assistance in individual cases. If a Party believes that any practice, in agriculture included: is incompatible with the provisions of Item 1, or such practice causes or threatens to cause serious damage to the interests of the said Party or material losses to the interests of its national industry, it may take measures in compliance with the procedure set out in Article 26 of the present Agreement. Such measures may be taken only in compliance with the procedures and terms set out by the WTO and any other instrument, of which the Parties have agreed and apply in their mutual trade.
STATE ASSISTANCE. The Department of Treasury (“Treasury”) or the Department of Education (“MDE”) shall provide the District with the financial and technical assistance detailed in schedule 3. Consistent with section 12(1)(s) of Act 436, the superintendent of the District (“Superintendent”) with the approval of the consent agreement consultant appointed under section 8 (the “Consultant”), or the Consultant, may apply for a loan from the state to the District, subject to conditions under the Emergency Municipal Loan Act, 1980 PA 243, MCL 141.931 to 141.942, or other applicable law, as necessary to implement the financial and operating plan under section 5 or otherwise.
STATE ASSISTANCE. The Director hereby lends to the Company the moneys transferred from the Facilities Establishment Fund to the Project Fund pursuant to the Supplement as the State Assistance for the purposes of financing a portion of the Allowable Costs of the Project. The Company hereby agrees to repay the State Assistance by making all of the payments provided for in Section 4.2 of this Loan Agreement.
