Strikes Prohibited. Employees covered by this Agreement, the PBA, its officers, agents, and representatives, agree that Florida Statutes Section 447.505 prohibits them individually or collectively as public employees or the PBA from participation in a strike against the City of St. Petersburg, the Employer, by instigating or supporting in any manner, a strike. It is further agreed that employees covered by this Agreement will not support strike actions that may be initiated by other unions by refusing to cross strike lines or picket lines that may be established by such unions. Any violation of this section shall subject the violator(s) to the penalties as provided by law and the rules and regulations of the Employer.

Strikes Prohibited. No Public Employee or employee organization may participate in a strike against a City by instigating or supporting, in any manner, a strike. Any violation of this section shall subject the violator to the penalties provided in Chapter 447.507 of the Florida Statues or any amendments thereto. It is further agreed, and in consideration of the Union's Contract, that the City shall not, partially or wholly lock out any employees for the duration of this Contract. Lockouts shall be the denying of employee access to work in order to pressure the employees and/or the Union to accept the employers offered terms of employment.
Strikes Prohibited. The Association, or its members, will not strike, organize or participate in any work stoppage, slow-down, mass absenteeism, nor any concerted or collective refusal or failure to fully and effectively perform the full responsibilities of the various positions and the assigned duties.
Strikes Prohibited. The POAM and the Employer recognize that strikes and other forms of work stoppage by employees are contrary to law and public policy. The POAM and the Employer subscribe to the principal that differences shall be resolved by peaceful and appropriate means without interruption of department programs and operations. Strikes Prohibited. The Union hereby covenants and agrees that, for and during the term of this Agreement and for so long as the same continues to operate, none of the Union or any of its directors or officers, the Bargaining Unit or any of its Stewards or officials, or any employee shall demand, call for, encourage or participate in any "strike" within the meaning of the Act.

Strikes Prohibited. The Union and its members, as individuals or as a group, will not initiate, cause, permit, or participate or join in any strike, work stoppage, or slowdown, picketing, or any other restriction of work, at any location in the City during the term of this contract. Employees in the bargaining unit, while acting in the course of their employment, shall not honor any picket line established in the City by the Union or by any other labor organization when called upon to cross picket lines in the line of duty. Disciplinary action, including discharge, may be taken by the City against any employee or employees engaged in a violation of this Article. Such disciplinary action may be undertaken selectively at the option of the City and shall not preclude or restrict recourse to any other remedies, including an action for damages, which may be available to the City.
