Student Surveys. Student surveys shall be administered between the 40% and 75% completion point of the respective course (For student evaluations use forms in APPENDIX C-5). Instructions to students are to be provided to the students verbatim as set forth in APPENDIX C-5a.
Student Surveys. The Minister or the Minister’s nominee may conduct surveys of the students being provided with Training Services under this Agreement.
a) The Provider will supply the Minister with information necessary to effectively conduct a student survey.
b) The Minister may publish the results of student surveys, provided that information is not disclosed that would identify individual students.
Student Surveys. 1. Each unit member shall have student surveys conducted by the Office of Instruction in at least one course or noninstructional assignment during the first semester of his/her first assignment at the college. Subsequent student surveys shall take place every six semesters in which the assignment is held.
2. Copies of the student surveys will be given to the unit member upon grade submission for that course.
Student Surveys. The DOE shall pilot student surveys during the 2013-2014 at mutually agreed upon schools and in all schools during the 2014-2015 school year. During the pilot, student surveys shall not be used for evaluative purposes. At the conclusion of each pilot year, the DOE and UFT shall meet to discuss the results of the pilot and discuss the possibility of continuing/ discontinuing the pilot and use of the surveys for evaluative purposes. If agreement is not reached at the conclusion of each pilot year, the student surveys shall be used for non-eval- uative purposes in the 2014-2015 school year and evaluative purposes starting in the 2015-16 school year and thereaf- ter. The implementation and scoring of the student surveys in 2015-16 and thereafter shall be consistent with the Commis- sioner’s Decision.
Student Surveys. (a) The District and Association will mutually agree upon the method and system used for the collection of student surveys in order to ensure the highest possible participation rate. If changes to the collection system become necessary, the District and Association will meet and mutually agree on a new system. If both parties are unable reach mutual agreement, the Chancellor shall make the final determination.
(b) Student surveys will be conducted in all classes taught by the faculty member during the fall and spring semesters so that faculty 3047 can use them for self-improvement. Student surveys are to be 3048 initiated prior to December 1 for the fall semester and prior to May 3049 1 for the spring semester. Student surveys will be available to the 3050 faculty member after the due date for grades. 3051 3052 (c) The objective of student surveys is to determine the student 3053 response to areas such as the fulfillment of the stated and 3054 distributed course objectives, effective communication, and 3055 respect for students’ rights and needs. When a faculty member is 3056 being evaluated, the student surveys for each of the semesters 3057 within the formal evaluation period will be available to the 3058 xxxx/academic administrator or designee and the information may 3059 be used in the faculty performance evaluation. 3060 3061 (d) There is no minimum percentage of student survey responses 3062 required. However, if student respondents for any one class fall 3063 below the required minimums (as outlined below), such responses 3064 may only be used by the xxxx/academic administrator for the 3065 purpose of ensuring that the faculty member is meeting their 3066 professional obligations and/or adhering to Board Policy 3067 requirements, after validation by the xxxx/academic administrator. 3068 3069 Required Minimums based on census enrollments: 3070 1) Class sizes of 30 or less need at least 6 student respondents; 3071

Quantitative (numerical) student survey results will be included in the evaluation. Subsequent student surveys will take place every six semesters in which the assignment is held.

Student Surveys i. Survey results will be weighted accordingly based on student response rate.
ii. Student surveys may be administered for all contracted sessions during an evaluation period. Unit members will be notified of when student surveys will be distributed, whether in-person or online.
iii. Unit members with non-classroom assignments should obtain a minimum of thirty-five (35) responses from the Student Survey of Non- Classroom Services.
iv. Copies of the student surveys will be given to the unit member upon grade submission for that course.

Student Surveys. The Faculty member will obtain his or her own student evaluations from the college at the end of the spring and fall terms. The reviews are to be utilized by the faculty member for improvements in his or her performance and in the course.
a) Student Surveys will be completed online. Safeguards will be in place to ensure that such surveys shall be anonymous, no students shall generate more than one survey per class, every student who completes the section is permitted to complete a survey, and no student who has withdrawn from a section shall complete a survey for that section.
b) The College will generate a summary report of all SPOI responses and student written comments for each section for each bargaining unit member for use in institutional effectiveness and determining trends. Faculty members will review the student evaluations and reflect upon any trends or opportunities for improvement in their annual evaluation.
c) Surveys are intended to provide constructive feedback to faculty members to aid in personal and professional improvement. The Supervising Administrator may elect to review and discuss recent student surveys with the faculty member. However, student comments shall not constitute the sole basis of discipline. Student surveys may be used to initiate further investigation and, if needed, remediation and support for the faculty member. No copies of student opinion surveys will be filed in the faculty member’s personnel file.
