Supplementary Labour Hire. (a) Where there is a need for supplementary labour to meet temporary/peak work requirements, such labour may be accessed from the bona fide labour hire companies following consultation with the Union and/or workplace delegate. If labour hire is to be used the Company shall ensure that any workers engaged through a supplementary/labour (b) Supplementary labour is defined as temporary “top-up” labour designed to meet short situations such as absences due to sick leave, annual leave, and short time work peaks.

Supplementary Labour Hire. 19.1. The Company commits to utilising only reputable labour hire companies on the basis that they are able to demonstrate a proven industrial relations track record consistent with the intent of this Agreement.
Supplementary Labour Hire. 47.1 The Company may utilise supplementary labour to overcome short term labour and/or skill shortages on the understanding it will not be used as a method to reduce existing levels of direct labour and/or additional employment opportunities for the Company’s employees. 47.2 If the supplementary labour is going to be utilised for a period greater than six months, the Company will undertake consultation with the employees and/or the Union delegate(s) in the relevant work group(s). 47.3 The Company will ensure a worker engaged through a labour hire company is engaged on terms no less favourable than those specified in this enterprise agreement, as relates to: (a) the base wage and trade allowance specified in clauses 27 and 30; (b) the shift penalty rates specified in clause 20; and (c) the overtime rates specified in clause 36.

  • Supplementary labour (a) If the Employer wishes to engage supplementary labour to perform work performed by its Employees under this Agreement, the Employer must first consult in good faith with the affected Employees. (b) Following consultation and subject to this clause, the decision whether to engage supplementary labour is a decision of the Employer alone. Any dispute as to the application of this clause will be dealt with under the disputes settlement procedure under clause 10 of this Agreement. The Employer will ensure that all supplementary labour is engaged on lawful terms and conditions.
