Tenured Appointments. (A) A tenured appointment shall continue until retirement or until otherwise terminated pursuant to this Agreement.
(B) Individuals who hold a tenured position at another university may be appointed with tenure, pursuant to Article 25.13.
Tenured Appointments. Tenured appointments are full-time appointments except when the University and a faculty member have agreed to change a full-time tenured appointment to a part-time tenured appointment. They cannot be terminated except in accordance with Article 10 below or for financial exigency or redundancy. Termination for financial exigency or redundancy shall be in accordance with any applicable criteria and procedures established under Article 12 below.
Tenured Appointments. 3.1.2.1. The rights and privileges of tenure are awarded to tenure-track faculty by the Board of Trustees following either (a) successful completion of the probationary period or (b) the offer to hire at the rank of Professor, in which case tenure is immediately granted. An Associate Professor may also be hired with tenure immediately granted.
3.1.2.2. Tenure shall mean the opportunity to continue full-time employment on the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement through each successive academic year at BGSU in an assignment that is appropriate to the academic credentials, professional training and experience, and previous BGSU employment history as a faculty member.
3.1.2.3. Tenured faculty members shall have the continuing professional obligation and responsibility to remain informed in their disciplines, in order to render efficient service to the University.
3.1.2.4. The tenure of a BUFM shall continue until one of the following occurs: death; resignation; retirement; discontinuance of the position due to fiscal exigency (Article 15); or termination for just cause (Article 12).
3.1.2.5. Tenured faculty who wish to either resign an existing appointment or to retire from BGSU service should notify in writing both the Xxxx and their respective Chair/Director, at least three months prior to the end of the academic year. A waiver of these requirements may be provided by the Xxxx in cases such as disability, health emergency, or other reason.
3.1.2.6. A tenured BUFM may be offered and may accept an assignment to administrative duties without interrupting or impairing the faculty member’s tenure, but tenure shall apply only to rank and assignment as a faculty member; an administrative assignment is subject to change at any time by action of the University.

Tenured Appointments. Tenure is the status established by formal action by the Board of Trustees granting the prerogative of a faculty member to employment on a continuing basis by the University subject to dismissal only for specific causes specified in this Agreement and after due process also so specified.
Tenured Appointments. A Tenured Appointment may be offered to members on Probationary Appointments in accordance with the provisions of Article 13 and which, if offered as a first appointment, will normally only be offered to individuals appointed at a rank of Associate Professor, Professor, Professional Associate III, or Professional Associate IV. A Selection Committee, in recommending a Tenured Appointment as a first appointment, shall base its recommendation on the criteria for tenure outlined in Article 13. A Tenured Appointment may be offered to members on Probationary Appointments in CIS Athletic ranks in accordance with the provisions of Appendix J and which, if offered as a first appointment, will normally only be offered to individuals appointed at a rank of CIS Coach II or III, Athletic Therapist II or III, or Athletic Director II or III.

(a) A Tenured Appointment may be offered as a first appointment in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 and will normally only be offered to individuals appointed at a rank of Associate Professor, Professor, Professional Associate III, or Professional Associate IV. A Selection Committee, in recommending a Tenured Appointment as a first appointment, shall base its recommendation on the criteria for tenure outlined in Article 12.
(b) A Tenured Appointment may be offered as a first appointment in U Sports Athletic ranks in accordance with the provisions of Appendix J and will normally only be offered to individuals appointed at a rank of U Sports Coach II or III, Athletic Therapist II or III, or Athletic Director II or III.

Tenured Appointments. Illinois Community College District No. 525 tenure policy shall conform to Illinois state law.
Tenured Appointments. Tenured Appointments reflect the permanency of the appointment and are conferred either as a result of the tenure process established under this Agreement or pursuant to the hiring process. In the latter instance, tenure may be granted in accordance with clause 18.2 of the Collective Agreement. Tenured appointments shall not be made at the rank of Lecturer.
