Traffic Control and Protection. This item shall consist of furnishing, installation, maintenance, relocation and removal of all signs, signals, arrow boards, pavement markings, traffic cones, barricades, warning lights, flaggers and other traffic control devices which are used for the purpose of regulating, warning or directing traffic, including pedestrians, during the construction and maintenance of the improvement, as shown on the plans and according to the applicable sections of the “St. Louis County Standard Specifications for Highway Construction,” the applicable guidelines contained in the “Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways” (MUTCD), these special provisions, and Highway Standards contained herein and included in the plans. The Contractor shall conduct his Work at all times in a manner and in such a sequence that will minimize the interference with vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The work area shall be confined to the smallest area possible to allow maximum use of the street or sidewalk. Throughout the construction period, all piles, equipment, open excavations or other obstructions or hazards to motorists or pedestrians shall be enclosed by fences of protected by barricades and proper lighting. This work will not be measured separately for payment, but shall be considered as included in the cost for the various items included in the contract and no additional compensation will be allowed.

Traffic Control and Protection. During construction, operation, management, installation, maintenance and repairs of the Network facilities, Agreement Service Provider Abbreviated Name agrees to comply with the most current edition of the VDOT Virginia Work Area Protection Manual and MUTCD. Agreement Service Provider Abbreviated Name shall perform all Work, including construction, operation, maintenance, installation, management and operation of the Network in a manner to avoid actions which could endanger the safety of the highway system and the traveling public. Agreement Service Provider Abbreviated Name shall not unreasonably interfere with VDOT construction, maintenance and operations in the VDOT right of way. Agreement Service Provider Abbreviated Name shall be responsible for all costs associated with traffic safety in the VDOT right of way associated with the Work.
Traffic Control and Protection. 4.6.1. The Contractor shall perform the Work using means and methods that will not unnecessarily interfere with, or delay any traffic, including but not limited to, vehicular and pedestrian traffic. On all Critical Roadways as listed in Section 2-07(c)(5) of NYCDOT’s Highway Rules as codified in Title 34, Chapter 2 of the Rules of the City, at least one (1) lane of traffic shall be kept moving in each direction, or as provided for by applicable traffic regulations. On Critical Roadways, the Work shall be performed so as not to interfere with traffic in any way during all or part of the period from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and during any other periods of peak traffic movement. The Contractor must at all times adhere to the aforementioned requirements unless it has been instructed otherwise in writing by NYCDOT. 4.6.2. Excessive interruptions or prolonged delays of any traffic will not be permitted under any circumstances. 4.6.3. The Contractor shall provide temporary traffic control in accordance with the most recent version of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (“MUTCD”), published by the Federal Highway Administration, and the New York State Supplement. Temporary traffic control plans shall be prepared and submitted to NYCDOT for each Site along with the first monthly schedule as per Section 4.9, and prior to the commencement of Work. 4.6.4. Traffic control plans should only be prepared once for each Site as defined in Section 4.7 unless conditions substantially change or additional plans are requested in writing by NYCDOT.

MMI shall be responsible for all costs associated with traffic safety in the ODOT ROW associated with the Work.

The School Board shall not unreasonably interfere with VDOT construction, maintenance and operations in the VDOT right of way. The School Board shall be responsible for all costs associated with traffic safety in the VDOT right of way associated with the Work.

  • Safety and Protection Where applicable, the PERFORMING PARTY shall be responsible for requiring employees, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain and supervise all necessary safety precautions and programs in connection with the Grant Activities. The PERFORMING PARTY shall take all necessary precautions to protect the health and safety of the public during performance of the Grant Activities.

  • Traffic Control The Surveyor shall control traffic in and near surveying operations adequately to comply with provisions of the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI which can be found on the State’s internet site. In the event field crew personnel must divert traffic or close traveled lanes, a Traffic Control Plan based upon principles outlined in the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI shall be prepared by the Surveyor and approved by the State prior to commencement of field work. A copy of the approved plan shall be in the possession of field crew personnel on the job site at all times and shall be made available to the State’s personnel for inspection upon request.

  • Job Protection 15.9.1 Subject to 15.10 below, an employee returning from parental leave is entitled to resume work in the same position or a similar position to the one they occupied at the time of commencing parental leave. A similar position means a position: (a) At the equivalent salary, grading; (b) At the equivalent weekly hours of duty; (c) In the same location or other location within reasonable commuting distance; and (d) Involving responsibilities broadly comparable to those experienced in the previous position. 15.9.2 Where applicable, employees shall continue to be awarded increments when their incremental date falls during absence on parental leave.

  • System Protection To prevent compromise of systems which contain DSHS Data or through which that Data passes: a. Systems containing DSHS Data must have all security patches or hotfixes applied within 3 months of being made available. b. The Contractor will have a method of ensuring that the requisite patches and hotfixes have been applied within the required timeframes. c. Systems containing DSHS Data shall have an Anti-Malware application, if available, installed. d. Anti-Malware software shall be kept up to date. The product, its anti-virus engine, and any malware database the system uses, will be no more than one update behind current.

  • Child Protection The Contractor acknowledges that it (and its personnel) are aware of the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW) and all related laws concerning child protection (Child Protection Laws). The Contractor will ensure that it (and its personnel) comply with the requirements of the Child Protection Laws and policies of the DoE relating to child protection as notified to the Contractor from time to time. The Contractor must, at the Contractor’s expense, certify that the Contractor and the Contractor’s personnel are not a prohibited person under any Child Protection Laws and undergo any other screening, such as the ‘Working with Children Check’, as required under Child Protection Laws or by the School (or DoE). Any of the Contractor’s personnel that is a prohibited person under any Child Protection Laws must not be engaged in providing any Services. The Contractor is to immediately advise the Department if it becomes aware that it (or its personnel) are the subject of a reportable allegation involving children.

  • Federal Water Pollution Control Act The contractor agrees to comply with all applicable standards, orders, or regulations issued pursuant to the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended, 33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.

  • WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY The parties to this Agreement are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and work practices. The parties recognise that illness or injury at the workplace is costly to the employer and the employees and also disruptive to the respective parties. To facilitate healthy and safe work practices, the parties to the Agreement are committed to discussing health and safety issues as they apply to the operations of the employer as part of the consultative measures under this Agreement. The employer and employees under this agreement may refer to their respective industrial representatives for appropriate advice or expertise in enhancing performance with due regard to health and safety initiatives. The parties also recognise the importance of conducting regular audits of the employer's operations, policies and procedures including the employees' skills, knowledge, qualifications and application of healthy and safe work practices.

  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Act It is understood that payment of income protection is for the sole and only purpose of protecting employees against the loss of income during time of such illness. Seniority and service will accrue and the Employer shall continue to pay its share of the premium for the benefit plans during the period of the income protection noted in this provision.
