Training and Testing of Drivers and Professional Drivers. Driving schools are licensed by the National Directorate of Road Traffic (DNVT) and the licensed driving schools in Luanda are listed on the DNVT website. It is compulsory for a person who wishes to obtain a driving licence, to be trained by a licensed driving school. The curriculum for driver training is to be issued by DNVT in terms of Decree 5/08 of 29 September 2009. Although the curriculum has already been compiled in book form, it has not been made mandatory yet and the guidelines and directives previously issued are still being used in the meantime. The minimum age for a person to be issued with a driving licence is as follow:  Motor cycle up to 125 cc – 16 years  Motor vehicle with GVM below 16 000 kg – 18 years  Motor vehicle with GVM 16 000 kg or more – 21 years A person who has no driving licence has to spend a minimum of 4 months with the driving school during which period the first 2 months is spent on theory training and acquaintance with the vehicle controls. Driving training is performed and practical driving experience is gained during the 3rd and 4th month. No learner licence is issued and the candidate continues with the driving school until the driving school is satisfied that the candidate has mastered the skills of safe driving for purposes of passing the driving test. The driving school performs a pre-test to confirm a candidate's readiness for driving licence testing and advises the candidate to make a payment of the prescribed fees into the designated bank account of the Ministry of Finance. Once the candidate presents the deposit slip of payment to the driving school, the school confirms the candidate's details and eligibility before submitting an application to be tested on behalf of the candidate. This application is performed online in Luanda. The driving school submits all the physical supporting documents to DNVT. On the day of the booked test, the candidate presents him/herself together with his/her ID document to DNVT. The driving test comprises the following 3 examinations:  Road signs – verbally conducted as no computerised test is currently available  Practical driving – commencing with a yard test, inclusive of stop/start on an incline, followed by driving in live traffic  Mechanical – physically performed, but for commercial drivers only If the candidate successfully completes the tests, the driving licence is printed at a central location. Each region has a centre where driving licence applications are processed and subsequent driving licences are issued. Driving schools are responsible for training learner drivers. The Federal Transport Authority registers and regulates driving schools and driving licence instructors. Schools are accredited and driving licence instructors are formally trained and tested. Driving training is performed in accordance with a driver manual with 15 hours of knowledge / theory training and the minimum practical driving training hours as indicated in the table below. A learner driver may not drive on a public road and may only drive at a driving school’s training facility or at a driver testing centre that is made available to the driving school for training. The driving school then makes an appointment for their learners to be tested by the Transport Authority. The theoretical and practical driving test may be conducted on the same day or scheduled for separate days. The appointment is made by the submission of a learner/ student register as well as a file for each learner. The learner drivers’ file is to include an application form, receipt for 100 Birr payment that was paid on behalf of the learner by the school, copy of identity document cards, copy of highest education certificate, test sheet or training schedule and physical examination report (medical). The full medical examination includes a vision and hearing test.

  • Safety Orientation All employees shall be certified in Safety Orientation. Safety Orientation shall consist of three parts: PART 1 - the CODC Interactive Rights and Responsibilities course; PART 2 - the XXXX course or equivalent, and PART 3 - Employer or Owner Project Specific Training. It is the responsibility of each employee to hold current certification and maintain certification in part 1 and Part 2. The Employer or Owner shall provide to each Employee before commencing work with PART 3 - Employer or Owner Project Specific Training. Each Employee shall be on the payroll and paid while receiving PART 3 training. As a condition of employment it is the sole responsibility of each and every employee to obtain, hold and maintain all current certification(s) in any and all legislated safety training requirements (i.e. WHMIS, Fall Arrest, etc.) that are trade specific. Supporting documentation of all legislated training must be provided by the employee to the Union prior to dispatch and to the employer upon hire and may be further requested by the employer at any time during the duration of their employment. Prior to the expiration of any certification, the Employer will notify the Employee of the pending expiration and give the Employee reasonable time to renew their certification. Further, prior to arriving at site, employees shall hold current qualification(s) for the specific tasks and equipment identified in the dispatch request. If the employee has to be trained after dispatch, all costs borne by the Employer shall be reimbursed by the Training Fund. The CODC Harassment Policy and Procedures, including the provisions regarding General Harassment and as amended from time to time shall be the minimum standard of this Agreement.

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • Professional Development and Training 4.1 The purpose of professional development and training requirements for interpreters is to maintain the skill levels interpreters possess at the time they pass their interpreter certification examination, and to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Both the State and the Union encourage interpreters to complete training and continuing education activities.
