TRAINING COMPETENCIES/PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES. The sending agency has the responsibility to ensure that personnel are trained to a basic level of proficiency based upon the mission. In addition, all responding personnel must be NIMS compliant. All responding personnel should meet the minimum level of certification as provided by the appropriate state agency and/or meet the appropriate nationally recognized standards of the National Emergency Responder Credentialing System for the position to be filled. Additionally, personnel responding to an activation of the plan shall be in physical condition commensurate with the expected tasks to be performed and conditions to be faced. Such assurances for NIMS compliance, training competencies and physical ability must come from the authority sending the assistance and be capable of being proved by audit. All parties to this agreement agree to exchange training opportunities, share planning documents, resource listings and standard operating guidelines.

TRAINING COMPETENCIES/PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES. All personnel responding to an Agreement activation shall have the requisite professional certifications for the position they are filling. And, at the minimum, they will have met the NIMS Compliance requirements as delineated in Appendix A (NIMS Compliance Requirements). NIMS compliance requirements for personnel not specifically designated in Appendix A will be identified by the requesting agency as necessary.
TRAINING COMPETENCIES/PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES. All personnel responding to a plan activation shall have the requisite training/certification and shall be in physical condition commensurate with the expected tasks/position they will be filling. The Authority Having Jurisdiction will be responsible to insure assigned personnel meet the minimum training and fitness for duty requirements. At the minimum, they will have met the following minimum requirements: • Firefighting personnel: Personnel shall be certified by their Agency Head to perform assigned tasksMedical personnel: State of Idaho Basic EMT certification for medical personnel • All responders: FEMA ICS 100 training or NWCG I-100.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Cultural Competence 1. Grantee will make reasonable efforts to provide services that meet each client’s individual needs and takes into consideration the intellectual functioning, literacy, level of education and comprehension ability of each client in order to ensure that all information is presented in a way that meets each client’s individual needs. 2. Grantee will provide services in the client's primary language either directly by Grantee or by a DFPS approved translator. 3. Grantee will have a cultural competence mission statement, core values or other similar guidance that provides how the Grantee will effectively provide these services to clients of various cultures, races, ethnic backgrounds and religions in a manner that recognizes and affirms the client’s worth, protects and preserves the client’s dignity and ensures equity of service delivery.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.

  • Trainings Appointment of any length involving two (2) or more Consumers who might need to split up to join different trainings, group discussions, etc.

  • Alignment with Modernization Foundational Programs and Foundational Capabilities The activities and services that the LPHA has agreed to deliver under this Program Element align with Foundational Programs and Foundational Capabilities and the public health accountability metrics (if applicable), as follows (see Oregon’s Public Health Modernization Manual, (xxxx://xxx.xxxxxx.xxx/oha/PH/ABOUT/TASKFORCE/Documents/public_health_modernization_man ual.pdf): a.   • Cultural Competency 1. All program staff shall receive at least one (1) in-service training per year on some aspect of providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide County with a schedule of in-service training(s) and a list of participants at each such training. 2. Contractor shall use good faith efforts to translate health-related materials in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide to County copies of Contractor’s health-related materials in English and as translated. 3. Contractor shall use good faith efforts to hire clinical staff members who can communicate with clients in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall submit to County the cultural composition and linguistic fluencies of Contractor’s staff.

  • Volunteer Peer Assistants 1. Up to eight (8)

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • Education, Training and Experience Grade 12 and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Expertise Such Member alone, or together with its representatives, possesses such expertise, knowledge and sophistication in financial and business matters generally, and in the type of transactions in which the Company proposes to engage in particular, that such Member is capable of evaluating the merits and economic risks of acquiring and holding the Units, and that such Member is able to bear all such economic risks now and in the future;
