Twelve (12) Hour Shift Patterns. The Company and the Union acknowledge that there is an existing 5:4 shift pattern (twelve hour continuous shift) in the Film plant/ Extrusion Department and a 2:3:2 shift pattern (twelve hour non-continuous shift) in the Distribution Department. The Company agrees to not change the current shift patterns unless a joint Company and Union supervised secret ballot vote by one hundred (100%) percent of the eligible affected employees, where a minimum of seventy-five (75%) percent of the employees vote to change to the shift pattern; unless the Company has a business requirement to change (i.e. legislation changes, technological advancements, manpower requirements or health and safety requirements), as per Article 5. If such a change is deemed necessary, the Company will bargain any new shift pattern with the Union Bargaining Committee for up to sixty (60) days from the date of notification of the necessary change. If no resolution can be met, the matter will be referred to mediation and the mediator will decide and impose a schedule.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Time Worked For purposes of computing the eight (8) hour day or the forty (40) hour week to determine entitlement to overtime pay, all sick leave, vacation leave, and holidays shall count as time worked to be added to other hours worked.

  • Rotating Shifts Nurses required to work rotating shifts (days, evenings and nights) shall be scheduled in such a way as to equitably as possible assign the rotation. This does not preclude a Nurse from being continuously assigned to an evening or night shift if the Nurse and the Employer mutually agree to such an arrangement.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • Workday/Workweek A. The normal workweek for each full-time employee shall be forty (40) hours.

  • Consecutive Hours of Work The daily hours of work for each employee shall be consecutive.

  • Twelve Month Employees A member of the unit who is employed on a twelve (12) month 19 basis shall be allowed paid vacation leave, exclusive of holidays, as follows:

  • HOURS OF WORK & OVERTIME (Subject to implementation instructions, the following clauses will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provision related to the Work Week and Work Day, Rest Periods, Overtime Definitions, Overtime/Callback Accumulation, Missed Meal Breaks, Meal Allowance, Time Off Between Shifts, and Change of Schedule that existed in the Hospital’s expiring collective agreement:)
