Types of Projects and Design Services Disciplines. The services of the Architectural Designer shall be predominately architectural in nature. The scope of design is anticipated to include improvements for code compliance, accessibility, life safety improvements, educational program needs, facility operations and security improvements, and other immediate need improvements at facilities owned by the School District. These improvements will normally address elements of the facilities that have been identified as an immediate or critical need by the School District. In addition to architectural design services, the type of design services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the other related disciplines of design services as follows: (1) Design Standards Updates; (2) Architectural Designering; (3) Civil Engineering; (4) HVAC Engineering; (5) Plumbing Engineering;

Types of Projects and Design Services Disciplines. Services of the Structural Engineer shall be predominantly structural engineering and design in nature. The scope of design is anticipated to include analysis of existing structural conditions and remedial designs of structural systems of facilities owned by the School District. These improvements will normally address elements of the facilities that have been identified as an immediate or critical need by the School District. Substantial portions of the design services are expected to focus on masonry conditions, deteriorated reinforced concrete, and corroded structural steel elements. Rehabilitation of deteriorated wood framing is also included as part of the design services scope. The scope of design services provided by the Structural Engineer shall include, but not be limited to, the following: (1) Modifications to building frame and foundation structure to facilitate in the installation of new mechanical equipment. (2) Masonry façade rehabilitation. (3) Building frame repair and restoration.

(2) Boiler Replacement – Steam and Hot Water Condensing Boilers. (3) Chiller Replacements – Air, Water, and Glycol Chillers. (4) Cooling Tower Replacements.

(3) Document repair/demolition/removal/replacement of roof systems and all related components, such as roof drains, lightning protection, flashing, scuppers, downspouts, gutters, mechanical equipment curbs, dunnage, coping, parapet walls, exterior/site lighting, access doors, hatches and ladders. (4) Document structural/masonry repair at components, such as parapet walls, chimneys and stone coping. (5) Produce phasing plans that coordinate construction in an occupied school. (6) Provide cost estimates at each design phase with detailed lists of all components of replacement/repair organized per MasterSpec divisions. (7) Participate in design meetings and record/distribute meeting

A susbstantial part of these services are expected to focus on masonry conditions, deteriorated reinforced concrete and corroded steel elements. Rehabilitation of deteriorated wood framing is also part of Structural Design Services. In addition to Structural Design Services, the type of design services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the other related disciplines of design services such as the following: (a) Architectural; (b) Civil Engineering; (c) HVAC Engineering; (d) Plumbing Engineering; (e) Electrical Engineering; (f) Technology Infrastructure Design; (g) Security Design; (h) Cost Estimating; (i) Landscape Architecture; and (j) Planner. The Structural Designer shall need to have staff available to facilitate rapid services associated with assigned projects. Although it is anticipated that most assigned projects will be small to medium in construction scope (construction cost under $1,000,000), there is a potential that some will exceed this amount. There is also a potential that the Structural Designer will be called on to provide design services on a number of these assigned projects at the same time. It is expected that design and documentation of each of these assigned projects shall be completed according to the design schedule requested by the Office of Capital Programs. It is also expected that the Structural Designer shall provide basic Construction Administration for the bulk of these assigned projects. Construction Administration Services shall include (as dictated by the needs of the individual assigned projects), but may not be limited to, submittal review and approvals by the City of Philadelphia governing authorities, construction site observation, response to Requests for Information, issuance of Proposal Requests, review of Proposals and providing recommendations for modifications. In general, for assigned projects constructed by Contractors, the Structural Designer will be expected to provide Construction Administration consistent with industry standards. Unless otherwise specified by this Agreement, Contractor will deliver all goods purchased by the Court “Free on Board Destination Freight Prepaid” to the Court at the address and location specified by the Court. Title to all goods purchased by the Court vests in the Court upon payment of the applicable purchase price. Contractor will bear the risk of loss for any Work being delivered until received by the Court at the proper location. All shipments by Contractor or its Subcontractors must include packing sheets identifying: this Agreement number, the Court’s purchase order number, item number, quantity and unit of measure, part number and description of the goods shipped, and appropriate evidence of inspection, if required. Goods for different Agreements shall be listed on separate packing sheets.

  • Operation and Maintenance Manuals Receipts for transmittal of Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Brochures and Data to the Design Professional (or Commissioning Agent) as required by Section 6.1.1.5.

  • Technical Support Services 2.1 The technical support services (the "Services"): Party A agrees to provide to Party B the relevant services requested by Party B, which are specified in Exhibit 1 attached hereto ("Exhibit 1").
