4.02 The parties agree Board acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or select a grievance committee composed of not more than three (3) seniority employees, and a negotiation committee of not more than seven (7) seniority employees, and will recognize and deal with the appropriate committee with respect to matters which are properly processed pursuant to the grievance procedure and with respect to contract negotiations.
4.03 The jurisdiction of each of the committee members and xxxxxxx representatives and the names of each xxxxxxx representative and committee member selected from time to time shall be given to the Board in writing.
4.04 The Board undertakes to instruct all members of its supervisory personnel to co-operate with the committee members in the carrying out of the terms and requirements of this agreement. The Board will submit in writing the names of all supervisory personnel and designated titles to the Recording Secretary of the Union. The Union will submit in writing the names of all members of the executive and representatives of the Union to the Human Resources Officer. Such union executive members and representatives together with xxxxxxx representatives referred to in Article 4.09 hereof shall be responsible for the administration of this agreement.
4.05 The Union undertakes to secure from its officers, committee members, and members, their co-operation with the Board and with all persons representing the Board in any supervisory capacity.
4.06 It is understood that the grievor shall have xxxxxxx representatives and committee members as well as other employees, must perform their regular duties; however, xxxxxxx representatives or committee members and/or officers, with the right approval of their immediate supervisor, will be permitted, during working hours, without loss of pay, to be in attendance at all grievance hearings and shall be included within the above number of employees. It is further agreed that the grievance proceedings will not be adjourned because the grievor has exercised his or her right not to be in attendance.
7.06 Members of these Committees shall not leave their regular duties without authorization from their Supervisor. Such authorization for a reasonable length of time for the purpose of conferring with the representatives of the Board and settling grievances in accordance with the grievance procedure provided in this agreement, and such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. In the event the immediate supervisor believes that time off work is being abused, the Supervisor shall refer the matter to the Board and it may be taken up as a Board Grievance under Article 7.02.
7.07 At 4.07 Members of the Union's negotiating committee shall be paid at their regular straight time rate of pay for their regularly scheduled work time spent with officials of the Board for purposes of amending or renewing the Agreement up to and including, but not beyond the stage of conciliation officer, provided, however, that such committee members will not be compensated for time spent prior to or beyond their regular working hours.
4.08 Upon request, up to seven members of the Union's Negotiating Committee shall be permitted leave of absence without pay to prepare for the commencement of formal contract negotiations with the Board. The total number of days of unpaid leave under this Article shall not exceed twenty-one (21) days during the lifetime of this Agreement and no member shall be absent for more than three (3) days for this purpose. The Union shall give the Board a minimum of ten (10) days advance notice of any arbitration hearing held such request. Leave of Absence under this Article shall be restricted to the three month period immediately preceding the expiry date of the Collective Agreement. Leave under this clause shall be exclusive of the Union Leave granted under Article 13.01 (b).
4.09 The Board acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or select fifteen (15) xxxxxxx representatives.
4.10 The Union may have the service of a C.U.P.E. Staff Representative, counsel, or adviser at any meeting with a representative of the Board during negotiations pertaining to renewal or amendment of the collective bargaining agreement. A Union representative may be present at Step No. 2 of the grievance procedure.
4.11 All correspondence between the parties, parties shall pass to or from the Employer appropriate manager of the Board and the Recording Secretary for the Union.
4.12 The Staff Relations Committee shall not make any pay deduction from a maximum be comprised of officials of the Board and up to seven (7) representatives of the union. The Staff Relations Committee shall meet at least four (4) employees who are members times per year. Meetings will be scheduled in September, December, March and June at such times mutually agreed upon to discuss problems and interpretations of rules and such other matters as they deem necessary. The committee is not designed to by- pass or eliminate any of the Union, for the time spent at rights of grievance as granted under this Agreement or any arbitration hearing. It is understood however, that the Union shall notify the Employer, prior to the date of the hearingrights of the Board, but to provide another avenue for mutual discussion of problems which may arise in the names operations of such employeesthe school.

UNION COMMITTEES.
7.01 Employees on any 6.01 The Company shall recognize the Union Stewards' Committee which shall consist of the Committees listed herein Plant Chairperson and not more than four (4) employees elected or appointed by the Union as Stewards. Effective April 15, 2009, the Union Stewards’ committee shall suffer no loss consist of wages when meeting the Plant Chairperson and not more than three (3) employees elected or appointed by the Union as Stewards. The Committee shall meet with the Employer during Company at such times as are mutually agreed upon by the parties, at the request of either party, although it is understood that it shall not be necessary for more than three (3) such employees to attend such meeting. In the event that a meeting is called to discuss a particular subject not relative to the whole plant, the meeting may be held with the Plant Chairperson and the Stewards from the particular department involved. The Company agrees to Union appointment of an off-shift temporary Xxxxxxx when five (5) or more employees are involved on said shift and the shift continues beyond a two (2) week period. An off shift temporary Xxxxxxx will be allowed to attend monthly Union Management Meetings only when shift is in effect.
6.02 It is clearly understood that Stewards and other Union Officers will not absent themselves from their regular duties unreasonably in order to deal with the grievances of employees, or with other Union business, and that in accordance with this understanding, the Company will compensate such employee for time spent negotiating with the Company, in handling grievances of employees and attending meetings of the Grievance Committee at their regular rate of pay, and that this does not apply to time spent on such matters outside of regular working hours. This includes time spent at arbitration, conciliation and mediation.

UNION COMMITTEES. 6.01 The Company agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee of not more than nine (9) employees for the purpose of negotiating with the Company with respect to any renewal of this Agreement as provided herein.

7.03 The Employer shall recognize a Union Negotiating Committee consisting of the President and six (6) employeesmembers. These employees shall suffer no loss The Company will pay the Negotiation Committee for lost wages, during negotiations and preparation time for a maximum of wages when meeting with two weeks.
5.02 The Company recognizes the Employer right of the Union to elect stewards, and they may be part of the grievance committee. The grievance committee will consist of the president, chief xxxxxxx and shift xxxxxxx or their designates.
5.03 Members of the grievance committee will be allowed reasonable time off during the employee’s scheduled regular working hours if necessary to negotiate a renewal investigate grievances and to this Agreement attend meetings with Management, and shall be compensated for necessary time so spent at the applicable rate of pay subject to the terms provisions of Article 7.016.05.
7.04 5.04 The Union shall advise Company recognizes the Head right of the Human Resources Department, in writing, Union to elect 5 Union members that shall act as a Local Union Executive Committee. 7.05 The Employer shall recognize 5.05 There will be a Union Grievance Committee consisting of the following: Step 1 – Two employees Step 2 – Two employees Step 3 – Four employees The parties agree that the grievor shall have the right to President who will be in attendance at all grievance hearings allowed eight (8) hours per day and shall a part-time Chief Xxxxxxx who will be included within the above number of employees. It is further agreed that the grievance proceedings will not be adjourned because the grievor has exercised his or her right not to be in attendance.
7.06 Members of these Committees shall not leave their regular duties without authorization from their Supervisor. Such authorization shall not be unreasonably withheld.
7.07 At any arbitration hearing held between the parties, the Employer shall not make any pay deduction from a maximum of allowed four (4) employees who are members consecutive hours per day for the fulfillment of his/her functions. The Chief Xxxxxxx will co-ordinate and compile information on concerns and/or grievances for all three (3) shifts. When the Local President is absent from the plant for five or more consecutive working days, the Local Vice-President will assume the duties and responsibilities of the UnionLocal President, including being scheduled on the day shift. In a case where there is a plant meeting and the Local President is absent from work, the Local Vice- President will be recognized by the Company in his place.
5.06 The Company will allow the Local Executive Committee to meet for two (2) hours per week and the Company will compensate them for one (1) hour at their regular straight time rate of pay. The Company will also allow the Local Stewards to meet every second week for two (2) hours and the Company will compensate them for one (1) hour at their straight time rate of pay.
5.07 The Company will recognize one (1) elected Union Representative for the time spent purpose of participating with Union members on plant committees and meetings initiated by management. Should such meetings not take place on their regular shift, they will be compensated at any arbitration hearing. It is understood howeverthe appropriate rate of pay.
5.08 Union member(s) on an approved leave of absence for Union business will be paid by the Company, that and the Union will reimburse the Company for the cost of all wages. Pre-authorized time at union training programs, will be paid for by the Company at the employee’s applicable straight time rate for a maximum of eight (8) hours per day. Such training shall notify the Employer, prior to the date of the hearing, the names of such employeesnot exceed forty (40) hours in any calendar year.
7.08 The parties agree to establish a Joint Union-Management Committee comprised of equal representation, to exchange views on matters which effect employees, other than negotiations, grievances, or safety committee matters.
7.09 Joint Health and Safety Committees shall be established in accordance with the
