STAFF/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern that it would be beneficial to discuss at a Staff Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Collective Agreement, the following shall apply: The two (2) employee representatives selected by the Union and two (2) Employer representatives shall meet at least quarterly each year at a time and place mutually satisfactory. The request for a meeting hereunder will be made in writing prior to the date proposed and accompanied by an agenda of matters proposed, and agreed to be appropriate for discussion by both parties which shall not include the matters that are properly the subject of grievance or negotiations for the amendment or renewal of this Collective Agreement. The Committee shall mutually determine its own procedures and the time and frequency of meetings, whether or not other person(s) should attend a particular meeting of the Committee because of the agenda item(s) to be discussed.

Management representatives may include representatives from the respective principal’s associations, and/or department managers as determined by management. Both parties understand that the composition of the committee may vary subject to the agenda and the availability of the parties. Its purpose will be to consider matters of mutual interest. The request for a meeting hereunder shall be made in writing prior to the date proposed and accompanied by an agenda or matters proposed and agreed to be appropriate for discussion by both parties which shall not include the matters that are properly the subject of grievance or negotiations for the amendment or renewal of this Collective Agreement. The Manager or her designate and the Chief Xxxxxxx or her designate shall mutually determine its own procedures and the time and frequency of meetings, as well as whether or not other persons should attend a particular meeting of the Committee because of the agenda items to be discussed. Unless mutually agreed by the Manager or her designate and Chief Xxxxxxx or her designate such meetings shall not take place more than once per calendar month. The Chief Xxxxxxx or her designate shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent in attending a Staff/Management Committee meeting scheduled during her regular scheduled working hours. Every effort shall be made by the Chief Xxxxxxx or her designate to schedule the performance of her duties under this Article at times which do not conflict with her work schedule or with the work schedule of any other employee in the bargaining unit.
STAFF/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. ‌ 2301 The Employer and the Union shall each, from time to time appoint a group of not more than four (4) persons from each side and the two groups thus appointed shall together form a committee to be known as the Staff Management Committee. The Staff Management Committee shall meet at the call of either group upon at least five (5) days' notice and not more often than once in each month (unless by common accord) for the purpose of discussing employer/employee relations and other matters of mutual concern.
