UNION COMMITTEES. 10.01 The Corporation will recognize: (a) A maximum of four (4) Stewards, one (1) of whom shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx. (b) The Corporation shall notify the Union in writing of the names of the Corporation Officials who have functions under this Agreement and stating the functions. 10.03 Meetings between the Chief Administrative Officer and the appropriate Department Head and the Union Executive (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Chief Xxxxxxx) Committee shall be held if requested by either party at times mutually agreeable to both parties. A statement outlining the matter for discussion will be submitted by each party not less than five (5) days prior to the time of the scheduled meeting, except in cases of emergency. 10.04 It is understood that a Xxxxxxx has regular work to perform on behalf of the Corporation and that they will not leave their work without obtaining permission from their supervisor. When resuming their regular work, they will report to their Supervisor and will give a reasonable explanation which may be requested with respect to their absence. The Corporation agrees to compensate a Xxxxxxx for any regular working time lost, in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, for such hours spent in servicing grievances of employees and also a Union Grievance Committee member, a Union Negotiating Committee member for such time spent in attending meetings with the Corporation. This shall not apply to time spent at meetings under a Board of Conciliation or at a hearing of a Board of Arbitration.

UNION COMMITTEES. 10.01 The Corporation Company agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee of not more than nine (9) employees for the purpose of negotiating with the Company with respect to any renewal of this Agreement as provided herein. It is also agreed that prior to and during negotiations, the Negotiating Committee will recognize: be allowed a reasonable number of days off, without pay, to hold meetings relative to such negotiations. The Company will reimburse the Union for of the wages of the Union Negotiating Committee for regular time spent in negotiations. The Company agrees to recognize a health and committee of not more than three (a3) A maximum of four (4) Stewardsemployees, one (1) all of whom shall be appointed by the Chief Xxxxxxx. (b) A Union National Staff Representative. The Company agrees to recognize a Grievance Committee of three not more than seven (37) permanent employees, (in addition to the griever) of whom one (1) shall be the President or their designate; a second shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx or the Xxxxxxx involved in the grievance and a third to be the Recording Secretary of the Union. When resuming In accordance with this understanding,the Company will compensate such Committeemen at their regular work, they will report to straight time hourly rate for time spent at such meetings during their Supervisor and will give a reasonable explanation which may be requested with respect to their absence. The Corporation agrees to compensate a Xxxxxxx for any regular working time lost, in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, hours. An Xxxxxxx will be paid for such hours spent in servicing grievances of employees and also a Union Grievance Committee member, a Union Negotiating Committee member for such time spent in attending meetings with at such meeting at his regular straight time hourly rate of pay, except that the Corporation. This shall foregoing does not apply to time spent a Xxxxxxx who attends such a meeting while on vacation. An employee who is a member of the Grievance or the Health and Welfare Committee, who works in excess of the regular work day or the regular work week on Union business that has been pre- approved by the Company, will be paid by the Company at meetings under the applicable rate of pay, except that a Board Committeemanwho attends such a meeting while on vacation will not be paid. The Company agrees to recognize a methods and standards representative, who shall be appointed by the Union National Staff Representative, for the purpose of Conciliation or at a hearing of a Board of Arbitrationmeeting with management to review employee concerns related to individual standards performance. Such representative shall receive appropriate training (MOST and Time Studies) from the Company’s Engineering firm.

The Board will submit in writing the names of all supervisory personnel and designated titles to be the Recording Secretary of the Union. The Union will submit in writing the names of all members of the executive and representatives of the Union to the Human Resources Officer. Such union executive members and representatives together with xxxxxxx representatives referred to in Article 4.09 hereof shall be responsible for the administration of this agreement. (c) A 4.05 The Union Negotiating Committee of five (5) permanent undertakes to secure from its officers, committee members, and members, their co-operation with the Board and with all persons representing the Board in any supervisory capacity. 4.06 It is understood that the xxxxxxx representatives and committee members as well as other employees, must perform their regular duties; however, xxxxxxx representatives or committee members and/or officers, with the approval of whom one (1) shall their immediate supervisor, will be the President permitted, during working hours, without loss of the Local or pay, to leave their representative regular duties for a reasonable length of time for the purpose of reviewing or amending this Agreement. 10.02 Provided that conferring with the Stewards and members representatives of the Union Committees shall have been placed on the Seniority List: (a) The Union shall notify the Corporation in writing of the names of its officers, the Stewards Board and the Union Negotiating Committee. In the event the immediate supervisor believes that time off work is being abused, the Supervisor shall refer the matter to the Board and it may be taken up as a Board Grievance under Article 7.02. 4.07 Members of the Union's negotiating committee shall be paid at their regular straight time rate of pay for their regularly scheduled work time spent with officials of the Board for purposes of amending or renewing the Agreement up to and including, but not beyond the stage of conciliation officer, provided, however, that such committee members will not be compensated for time spent prior to or beyond their regular working hours. 4.08 Upon request, up to seven members of the Union's Negotiating Committee shall be permitted leave of absence without pay to prepare for the commencement of formal contract negotiations with the Board. The total number of days of unpaid leave under this Article shall not exceed twenty-one (21) days during the lifetime of this Agreement and no member shall be absent for more than three (3) days for this purpose. The Union shall give the Board a minimum of ten (10) days advance notice of any such request. Leave of Absence under this Article shall be restricted to the three-month period immediately preceding the expiry date of the Collective Agreement, for such hours spent in servicing grievances . Leave under this clause shall be exclusive of employees and also a the Union Grievance Committee member, a Leave granted under Article 13.01 (b). 4.09 The Board acknowledges the right of the Union Negotiating Committee member for such time spent in attending meetings with to appoint or select fifteen (15) xxxxxxx representatives. 4.10 The Union may have the Corporation. This shall not apply to time spent at meetings under a Board of Conciliation or at a hearing service of a C.U.P.E. Staff Representative, counsel, or adviser at any meeting with a representative of the Board during negotiations pertaining to renewal or amendment of Arbitrationthe collective bargaining agreement. A Union representative may be present at Step No. 2 of the grievance procedure. 4.11 All correspondence between the parties shall pass to or from the appropriate manager of the Board and the Recording Secretary for the Union. 4.12 The Staff Relations Committee shall be comprised of officials of the Board and up to seven (7) representatives of the union. The Staff Relations Committee shall meet at least four (4) times per year. Meetings will be scheduled in September, December, March and June at such times mutually agreed upon to discuss problems and interpretations of rules and such other matters as they deem necessary. The committee is not designed to by-pass or eliminate any of the rights of grievance as granted under this Agreement or any of the rights of the Board, but to provide another avenue for mutual discussion of problems which may arise in the operations of the school.

(b) A 6:02 Members of the Union Grievance Committee will be permitted to leave their regular Company duties to attend a meeting of the Grievance Committee with the Company which has been mutually agreed upon and in such cases there shall be no deduction from earnings for absence from Company duties for all hours which fall within the employees' normal schedule of work. 6:03 The Company agrees to recognize three (3) permanent employeesstewards for the purpose of handling grievances, (in addition but whose duty may require from time to time their acting on the griever) Union Grievance Committee The number of whom xxxxxxx may be adjusted by mutual consent, but no more than one (1) shall be the President or their designate; a second shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx or the Xxxxxxx involved in the grievance and a third to be the Recording Secretary of the Unionselected from any one supervisor area. If it is necessary for a Xxxxxxx to service a grievance during working hours, they will shall not leave their work without first obtaining the permission from of their supervisor. If requested, the employee shall give a reasonable explanation why they deem such action is necessary. When resuming their regular work, they will shall again report to their Supervisor supervisor. Should it be necessary for the Xxxxxxx in the performance of their duties to contact the Xxxxxxx or an employee in another department, he/she must also secure the permission of the supervisor of such department before doing so. It is understood that such permission will not be unreasonably withheld. 6:05 The Company will recognize a negotiating committee composed of not more than the following: president, 1 unit chair, and will give a reasonable explanation which may be requested with respect to their absence2 elected employee representatives. The Corporation agrees Company and the Union agree that it is desirable from the point of view of both parties that not more than one (1) shall be from any one supervisor area, and where feasible selection will be on that basis. Employees who are members of the Negotiating Committee shall be paid straight time for that part of their regularly scheduled working hours devoted to compensate a Xxxxxxx attendance at meetings for any regular working time lostthe purpose of negotiating new or revised collective agreements. 6:06 The Union will, in accordance with within fifteen (15) days from the terms date of this Agreement, for such hours spent notify the Company in servicing grievances writing of employees the names of the Stewards and also Union Committees. The Union will inform the Company in writing within ten (1 0) days when any change takes place in the Stewards and/or Union Committees. No Xxxxxxx or member of a Union Grievance Committee member, a Union Negotiating Committee member for such time spent in attending meetings with will be recognized by the Corporation. This shall not apply to time spent at meetings under a Board of Conciliation or at a hearing of a Board of ArbitrationCompany unless the above procedure is carried out.
