Union Donated Leave Bank. The Library will permit the creation of a Leave Bank, funded by unit employee’s donations, to be used by Union officials, Shop Stewards, and bargaining committee members. Each year, during April and October, unit employees will have the option of donating vacation time to the Leave Bank. The maximum that can be donated or used each calendar year is 500 hours. The Union designee shall note the use of Leave Bank time through the payroll system. The use of the Leave Bank time is limited to investigation of grievances, attendance at or preparation for negotiations, and meetings with Library officials, and for preparation for pre-disciplinary meetings. Employees may donate any portion of their current vacation accrual, as long as they have at least two (2) weeks remaining. Except as specified in this Agreement, the administration of the Leave Bank shall be consistent with other donated leave programs administered by the Library. Each calendar month, the Library shall provide a report of how many hours in the Leave Bank were used, which designees used the hours, and how many hours remain in the Leave Bank.

Union Donated Leave Bank. KCLS will permit bargaining unit pages to make donations to and withdrawals from the Leave Bank created in the Local 1857 Main Unit agreement, under the same terms and conditions as employees in the Main Unit.

  • Xxxx Leave Bank Section 1: A Sick Leave Bank will be established to relieve a Teacher from undue financial burdens as a result of an absence from work due to the Teacher’s illness, injury, or incapacitation sufficiently severe to make the performance of their duties impossible. Sick Leave Bank leave shall not be used for parenting leave. A Teacher member of the Sick Leave Bank who has exhausted his or her personal leave and sick leave days shall be eligible to apply to the committee for an extension of sick leave benefits.   • Leave Bank The Employer agrees to begin exploration of creating and maintaining an account or mechanism to permit donation of Paid Time Off hours from members of the bargaining unit to bargaining unit employees who are on family or medical leave and who have exhausted or are projected to exhaust their accrued leave before they are able to return to work.

  • Sick Leave Bank 22.1 The purpose of this Sick Leave Bank is to provide a bank of sick leave hours from which a member may draw in case of extended absences due to illness/disability which renders the member incapable of working.

  • Union Training Leave 46.1 An Employee elected as Union Delegate shall, upon application in writing to the Employer, be granted up to five days paid leave each calendar year to attend relevant Union Delegate courses. Such courses shall be designed and structured with the objective of promoting good industrial relations within the building and construction industry.

  • Union Leave (a) Upon receiving a written request at least one (1) week in advance from the Union, the Company will grant leave of absence for not more than two (2) employees at any one time to attend Union conferences, conventions, or workshops, providing that the combined leaves of absence will not exceed forty (40) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Such leaves of absence will be without pay but with maintenance and accumulation of benefits (normal payroll deductions to apply).

  • Local Union Leave Upon written request, leave of absence without pay shall be granted to employees for Union business in accordance with the following provisions:

  • Trade Union Training Leave (a) Subject to all qualifications in this clause, an employee appointed or elected as an accredited representative of the union to which he/she belongs will, upon application in writing to the Enterprise, be granted up to 5 days leave with pay each calendar year non-cumulative to attend courses conducted or approved by the Union.

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Union Leaves Employees on Union Leaves will be treated as provided in Article 18 (Q) while working on Union leave.

  • Formal Collective Bargaining Leave Leave without pay may be granted to participate in formal collective bargaining sessions authorized by RCW 41.80.
