Bank Time. The District and the Association agree that bank time is a weekly sixty (60) minute block of student free time and shall be used for professional development and/or collaborative grade level and curricular planning. At least two (2) of the bank time blocks per month will be designated for teacher collaboration and planning. At the discretion of the District/Site Administrator, weekly staff meeting time may be utilized in conjunction with bank time to allow for a larger block of time for professional development and/or collaborative grade level and curricular planning.
Bank Time. Any faculty member, with the permission of their xxxx and vice president, may accept teaching overloads in the class schedule of no more than .20 of a regular full-time teaching assignment per year for no additional compensation. Unless approved by the appropriate Vice-President, requests to accrue bank time must be submitted to the Office of Academic Services by July 1st (for the upcoming fall semester) and December 1st (for the upcoming spring semester). A record of such teaching overloads will be maintained in the Office of Academic Services. Upon notification to the respective xxxx and vice-president, instructors with accumulated overload time may draw upon such time in future semesters in order to reduce duty assignment to less than a full assignment or earn one semester of leave while receiving full salary. Unless approved by the appropriate Vice- President, requests to use bank time must be submitted to the Office of Academic Services by August 1st (for the upcoming fall semester) and January 1st (for the upcoming spring semester). Unpaid overload teaching time can accumulate to a maximum of one year’s full- time teaching assignment (30 LHE). Non–instructional faculty members are also eligible for accepting overload time of no more than .20 of a full-time load, and may bank up to one year of duty.
8.4.1 No more than the equivalent of one semester of banked duties may be drawn upon in any one academic year.
8.4.2 No more than fifteen (15) percent of the faculty may accumulate overload time during any one semester and no more than fifteen (15) percent of the faculty may draw overload time during any one semester.
8.4.3 No more that fifteen (15) percent of the faculty of any department, rounded up, may draw overload time during any one semester unless approved by the xxxx and vice-president.
8.4.4 Probationary bargaining unit members are entitled to accumulate overload time under this article but are not permitted to draw overload time until they have achieved tenure status.
8.4.5 A faculty member, upon retiring and having unused banked time, may elect to have this time reimbursed at the overload rate. However, no more than two semesters of unused banked time will be subject to reimbursement at retirement.
Bank Time. 12.1 Sworn and civilian members have the option to accumulate bank time from either overtime worked or court time.
12.2 Periods of overtime, which a member has elected to bank, shall be calculated in accordance with Article 11, 13 and 14.
12.3 Sworn members shall maintain a balance of twenty (20) hours.
12.4 Civilian members shall maintain a balance of ten (10) hours.
12.5 All members can bank a maximum of one hundred forty four (144) hours, after which the member shall receive payment of overtime.
12.6 All bank time can be carried from year to year.
12.7 At the request of the member, accumulated bank time may be taken as payment or time. Time off shall be granted at the discretion of the officer in charge subject to staffing levels.
12.8 The officer in charge shall have the option of ordering officers off on bank time, subject to staffing levels, at 0300 hours on the night shift, should the member be scheduled to appear in court that day.
12.9 A member can make a written request for payment of their accumulated bank time at their discretion.
12.10 Each member will receive an audit of their bank time the second pay period in November of each calendar year.
Bank Time. An employee who has exhausted his/her full pay sickness benefits may, at any time during the calendar year, request that the Company suspend the payment of any remaining sickness benefits for which he/she is eligible in order that he/she may take any part or all of any , PTO Bank time, to which he/she is entitled. If an employee has more than 20 unused PTO Bank days as the end of the calendar year approaches, the payment of any remaining sickness benefits for which he/she is eligible shall be suspended by the Company for the purpose of exhausting all but 20 unused PTO Bank days within such year. Notwithstanding any provisions of this Plan which might be construed to the contrary, suspension of sickness benefits for the purpose of exhausting all but 20 unused PTO Bank days shall not, for the purposes of this Plan, be considered as interrupting the employee’s period of absence on account of sickness.
Bank Time. (a) Employees will be allowed to bank any overtime or charter time if they so choose.
(b) Employees will be allowed to bank up to a maximum of thirty- seven and a half hours (37.5) per calendar year.
(c) There will be no re-accumulation of hours beyond the initial banking of thirty-seven and a half hours each calendar year.
(d) There will be no carryover of banked hours to the following year.
(e) Any unused bank time as of December 31s' will be paid out.
Bank Time. 28.01 The Company shall permit an employee to bank up to and including twenty (24) hours pay per pay period, in lieu of pay for overtime work, provided that the total number of hours in the bank does not exceed forty-eight (48) hours.
28.02 The Company shall include in the final pay period of the fiscal year ending December 31 the amount of pay equivalent to the remaining banked hours, such that there is no carryover of banked hours to the next fiscal year beginning January 1.
28.03 An employee may use any or all of his/her bank hours for the purpose of:
a) Increasing the amount of pay in any given pay period, provided that this intention is provided to the Company in writing seven (7) calendar days prior to the normal pay day;
b) Vacation as per Article 15, provided that the vacation is not taken so as to cause the Company to incur overtime as the result of the absence; and
c) Family Compassionate Leave as per Article 19.
28.04 The Company shall apply banked time hours sufficient to meet the requirement in situations where:
a) an employee has received lay-off notice as per Article 9;
b) the Company has invoked Article 12.02 (i); or
c) an employee’s sick time allowance is insufficient to offset sick time taken.
Bank Time. Employees working the twelve-hour shift are eligible to bank up to eighty four hours per year per clause 5.

12.10 Transferring of Bank Time from member to member is normally prohibited unless the transfer of time is for the intended purpose of compensation to another member for shift coverage in accordance with article 9.28. Any other transfer of Bank time shall be upon written request with supporting rationale and will be considered on a case by case basis by the Chief of Police and the President of the Association.
Bank Time. 27.01 Instead of cash payment for overtime, an employee may bank up to eighty (80) hours of overtime per calendar year. Such time shall be accumulated at the applicable overtime rate, but the time off will be taken at straight time rates. The time off shall not be taken with annual vacations and shall not be accumulative from one calendar year to the next. Any such hours not taken by calendar year end shall be paid out.
