N: 89 R: 03 1 Extended leave resulting from personal illness: Any teacher under this Article may, upon written request, be placed on an unpaid leave of absence for a period determined by the Superintendent and the teacher not to extend beyond the end of the current school year. Upon return from such a leave, the teacher shall be assigned to whatever position is available within his/her certification and qualification. Teachers shall present a clearance certificate signed by a physician prior to returning to work.

  • Unpaid Leaves Employees on unpaid leaves may not participate in the matching program while on leave.

  • Unpaid Leave - After Three Years For every three (3) years' continuous service, an employee may request, in writing, an extended unpaid leave of absence, giving the longest possible advance notice. Every reasonable effort shall be made to comply with such requests providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer's business can be found. Notice of the Employer's decision shall be in writing.

  • Unpaid Leave 6. Accrued compensatory time off may be used at the employee’s discretion, with management approval, after exhaustion of 100% sick leave (No. 3 above). However, FLSA compensatory time off shall not be counted against the employee’s four (4) month (nine [9] pay period [720 hours]) family or medical leave entitlement. Therefore, any use of FLSA compensatory time off under this Section shall extend the employee’s family or medical leave by the total amount of FLSA compensatory time off used.
