Vacation Accumulation Maximum. Nurses who have reached the four hundred fifty (450) hour vacation accumulation maximum shall not accrue any additional vacation time. Accrual of vacation time shall again commence in the pay period that the Nurse’s vacation time has fallen below the four hundred and four hundred fifty (450) hour maximum. It is the policy of the County that Nurses take at least their normal vacation each year; provided, however, that for reasons deemed sufficient by her/his department head, a Nurse may, with the consent of the department head, take less than the normal vacation time with a correspondingly longer vacation the following year. Nurses who are nearing the vacation accumulation maximum of four hundred fifty (450) hours (at three hundred seventy [370] hours or higher) will receive notification of vacation accrual balances through the employee’s paycheck advice notice. Nurses are encouraged to request vacation upon receiving this notice pursuant to department procedures. Failure by the Nurse to make a good faith effort to request vacation in accordance with departmental procedures will result in vacation accrual stoppage at four hundred fifty (450) hours. If the Nurse makes a good faith effort to request vacation time and the request is denied by the department, the Nurse will receive up to eighty (80) hours of vacation cash-out. It is understood Nurses may have to request vacation time outside of high use time, i.e., holiday seasons and summer months.

The parties agree that, employees who have reached the maximum vacation accumulation shall not accrue any additional vacation time. Accrual of vacation time shall again commence in the pay period that the employee's vacation time has fallen below the maximum. It is the policy of the County that the employees take at least their normal vacation each year; provided, however, that for reasons deemed sufficient by their department head, an employee may, with the consent of the department head, take less than the normal vacation time with a correspondingly longer vacation the following year. Employees, who are nearing the vacation accumulation maximum of eight hundred (800) hours, or their general or special limit pursuant to County ordinance 3.36.010 (12/23/95), shall receive notification from the department. Employees are encouraged to request vacation upon receiving this notice pursuant to department procedures. Failure by the employee to make a good faith effort to request vacation in accordance with departmental procedures will result in vacation accrual stoppage at 800 hours plus one calendar year accruals. If the employee does make a good faith effort to request vacation time and the request is denied by the department, or the approved vacation is canceled, or cannot be utilized by reason of subpoena or other required duties of the department, the employee shall receive up to eighty (80) hours of vacation cash out.   • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.

  • Maximum Vacation Accrual Employees may accrue vacation up to a maximum of two hundred forty (240) hours. An employee who has reached the maximum accrual level may continue to accrue vacation until his or her next anniversary date, at which time any vacation accrued in addition to the two hundred forty (240) hour maximum accrual will be extinguished. With the written approval of the appropriate Vice President, an employee may accrue more than two hundred forty (240) hours of vacation when he or she is precluded from taking a previously scheduled vacation because of University needs.   • Sick Leave Accumulation a. All unused days of sick leave at full pay for all employees, shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred ten (210) days. Such sick leave benefits so accrued will be usable after the annual full days allowed, and prior to any half pay benefits.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Maximum Accumulation Maximum accumulation amounts apply only to the amount of annual leave that may be carried over from one leave year to the next, and do not limit accumulated leave balances during the leave year.
