VACATION TRADES. A Flight Attendant may, at her/his option, trade a vacation period(s), or portion thereof, with another Flight Attendant in her/his crew base provided both Flight Attendants submit the request through the ETB, by the eighth (8th) of the month prior to the month in which the trade occurs and provided that the trade does not result in a Flight Attendant having more than one grouping of three (3) days or less for that year.

VACATION TRADES. 46-8.01 A Cabin Personnel may request to trade a vacation week(s) with another Cabin Personnel who is in the same base, classification, and aircraft type, subject to required training. Cabin Personnel must submit a request to trade a vacation week(s) by email to the Crew Planning department no later than bid closing one month prior to the month the vacation occurs.
VACATION TRADES. 1. A Flight Attendant may trade a vacation period with another Flight Attendant at the same domicile. 2. The vacation trade must be an equal amount of days. 3. The request for a vacation trade must be submitted to the Company, in writing from both parties, and approved prior to the first day of the bid period for the month in which the vacation trade occurs.
VACATION TRADES. 1. A Flight Attendant may request to trade her/his vacation block with the vacation block of another Flight Attendant at the same domicile using the method provided by the Company. Vacation blocks traded must be of the same length and must be by mutual agreement of the Flight Attendants involved. 2. A Flight Attendant may request to trade her/his vacation block with another open vacation block of the same length in her/his domicile using the method provided by the Company and may be awarded in the Company’s discretion. 3. The deadline for submitting vacation trade requests is noon (Central Time) on the 1st of the month prior to the month of the earlier of the vacation blocks being traded.

The window for submitting vacation trade requests will be between noon (Central Time) on the 25th and noon (Central Time) on the 1st of any month but no later than noon (Central Time) the 1st of the month prior. A MSP Flight Attendant wants to trade a vacation on April 1-7 with another MSP Flight Attendant that has a vacation block on April 15-21. Both Flight Attendants must submit the request via the Company’s computer system no later than noon Central Time on March 1.

VACATION TRADES. Should a second employee wish to schedule a vacation during a period when another employee already has an approved vacation, said employee may be allowed to do so provided, however, they arrange for another employee, on a rank-for-rank basis to work in their place. The second employee off from work on vacation shall receive their regular vacation pay and have their vacation balance reduced for the hours away from work. The employee working for the second employee shall not be paid for the hours worked, but instead shall receive a transfer of vacation hours equal to the number of hours worked.
VACATION TRADES. A Flight Attendant may trade his/her vacation period with the vacation period of another Flight Attendant in the same operation and at the same base (MAC regular bid holders may trade with other MAC regular bid holders) as follows: 1. Vacation periods traded must be of the same length, and must be by mutual consent of the Flight Attendants involved. 2. Notwithstanding X.1. above, Flight Attendants with a vacation accrual of less than seven (7) days may trade with each other. 3. Proposed vacation trades must be submitted to the Company by the first (1st) day of the contractual month preceding the first vacation period of the proposed trade, except that in no case shall a Flight Attendant awarded/assigned a vacation for the first vacation month of the fiscal vacation year have less than five (5) calendar days in which to trade such vacation. 4. Vacation trades involving more than two (2) Flight Attendants will not be permitted.
VACATION TRADES. A Flight Attendant may trade vacation periods with the following constraints: 1. Vacation trades must be within the same calendar year; 2. Trades must be made by the 4th of the month preceding the month in which the vacation trade would be effective (e.g., before March 4 at 1200 MT for an April vacation trade); 3. Trades may be made between two (2) Flight Attendants or between a Flight Attendant and posted open vacation slots in the same Base; 4. All trades must be submitted via the Automated Bid System. Crew Planning will not submit, modify or remove any trade request from the Automated Bid System; 5. No vacation trade will be awarded after the Pre-award time frame has closed for the Bid Period requested. This includes both the vacation slot being traded from and traded to.
